Prophetic Purpose

Prophetic Purpose

1. Given by the Holy Spirit
2. Set timing
3. Set place
4. Divine purpose
5. Fulfills Destiny
6. Releases Blessings
7. Requires Obedience
8. Requires faith
9. Results are not guaranteed.

A prophetic assignment is brought to you from the Father's heart by the Holy Spirit. The assignment has a set timing, in other words there is a window of time in which the assignment can be accomplished. It has a set place, there is a location where the assignment is supposed to happen. You may not be aware of the exact location where this is supposed to happen but you will be given a starting place. A prophetic assignment has a divine purpose, both for you and the other persons. God has a plan and He is entrusting this to you to fulfill the activation of that plan. A prophetic assignment fulfills destiny. Destiny is about to be birthed and your assignment is to help bring that forth. As you release destiny, you release blessing in your own life. The assignment requires obedience and the obedience releases the blessing. The obedience requires faith because the results are not guaranteed. Wait, what do you mean the results are not guaranteed?? It's because each person has freewill and they can choose to respond or not respond. But once you have completed your assignment, and you have completed your role then release the results to the Father.
Let's look at a biblical example of the prophetic assignment: In Acts 9:10, the disciple Agabus received his prophetic assignment in a vision. In the vision the Lord appears to him and specifically tells him what to do. He told Agabus when the set time was, Now, and He told Agabus where to go, the street called Straight, and the house of Judas. The divine purpose, is to lay hands on Saul to receive his sight.  The fulfillment of destiny comes when Saul begins to preach the Gospel proclaiming Jesus in the synagogues, telling them, "He is the Son of God." This prophetic assignment required obedience from Agabus and he tells the Lord in his vision about the harm that Saul has done to the saints.  If required faith for Agabus to head out for this prophetic assignment. The blessing that was released was that now a chief persecutor of the Christians had now become a christian and that particular danger was gone. The blessing for Saul was that the scales fell from his eyes and his sight was restored. In this example the results were told to Agabus by the Lord in the vision, that Saul would bear the Lord's name before Gentiles and kings and the sons of Israel.
What prophetic assignment has the Lord given to you that will release blessing in your life through obedience? Think about it. This is Pastor Susan Living the Everyday Prophetic Life and fulfilling God's assignments.

Called to be an Anna

Recently I heard a friend refer to the Anna anointing: that anointing which allows one to pray and fast and wait for destiny to be birthed. This is different than the gifting of the midwife which is actually present at the birth. This is the anointing for the waiting room. Now think about your experience in a waiting room at a hospital or birthing center. You are not in the room, you don't really know how far along the process is, or when the baby will arrive. You have to have patience. You have to be able to look into the future and see the end result.
The Anna anointing involves prayer and fasting but also patience and trust. The Messiah had been promised for thousands of years. In the last 400 years in Israel's history the prophet's had gone silent. There was a silence in the land. Interestingly enough it was 10 (the number of the law) times 40 the number of years the Israelites had wandered in the wilderness. Anna was a woman of prayer and fasting and the Bible says in Luke 2:37, that she "departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day." In other words she never left the waiting room! The temple was the spiritual hub of the day and this woman stayed there all the time seeking God. Now what happens when you spend time seeking God is that when He shows up in a new way you recognize Him! This is exactly what happened with Anna. She was in the Temple praying and fasting and then Mary and Joseph show up with baby Jesus. But not as the Triumphant King that Israel was expecting but as a small baby. But Anna saw the gift of God even though the gift was not in the package other's expected!  She was one that pierced the current world structure with her proclamation to all who looked for redemption in Israel. She pierced the old structure by pointing to a new paradigm! That Christ had come in the form of a babe!
So the Anna anointing rests on one who through prayer and fasting will pierce the world's structure by recognizing the gift of God for the new season!
If you are an Anna prepare to take your gifting to the next prophetic activation by decreeing that the old structures cannot hold the new manifestation of God. Prepare to pierce the atmosphere with revelation gleaned from your position in the spiritual hub of prayer and fasting.
This is Pastor Susan calling forth all the Anna's to arise. Decree now that the old has passed away and look for new revelation!

When the ordinary becomes extraordinary in God's hands!

What's that in your hand? What do you have that God can use? Do you have water that can be turned to wine like those at the wedding in Cana? Do you have a rod that can be held over the Red Sea; and under the power and authority of God watch it separate and create a path of freedom and deliverance for a nation? Do you have jars that can be supernaturally filled with oil to supply a stream of prosperity for you and for your posterity? Do you have a few loaves and fishes that can feed thousands? When you have something in your hand in the natural God can use it in a miracle of multiplication, manifestation, and destiny change.
Lately I have noticed a prophetic pattern. When I go someplace to minister, I bring the anointing but the people of the place have something there that God wants to use in a miracle working manner. A manner that will change destiny! It can be two poles from which the Lord directs a chuppah to be made. Or it can be a door frame through which people pass to signify the "going over" to the Promised land in their lives. It can be seven stones from a garden  used to create an altar upon which ministers can pour anointing oil to remember the place that God spoke to them from heaven.
Here is the prophetic lesson for you today. When you are ministering do not just think of what you bring with you, your own anointing, think of what God has in place for you to pull from the spiritual atmosphere to create the miracle for that particular group of people. Keep your spiritual eyes wide open and the Lord will show you what to do and what to use. Be willing to step out on the bridge of faith, because sometimes the instructions will not come until the last minute. But God will never be late. What is that in your hand prophet? This is Pastor Susan Living the Everyday Prophetic Life with God's miracle anointing in her hands!

Prophetic Acts Standing under the Chuppah

Sometimes the Lord will ask us to perform a prophetic act or action as a picture of what He is planning to do in our midst. Recently, the Lord asked me to set up a chuppah, a Jewish wedding tent, and to stand under it and be prayed for as a prophetic act of stepping into a new season. The chuppah consists basically of four poles and a beautiful tapestry cloth over the top of the poles. Many Jewish people use a tallit (a Jewish prayer shawl) and that is what we used for our chuppah. The tallit symbolizes all the promises of God and so it is very prophetic to stand under a tallit as the covering for the chuppah.
Standing under the chuppah with my husband, I renewed my vows of covenant with the Lord. Did you know that the chuppah is a legal instrument? It is part of the contractual completion of the wedding ceremony. When a betrothed couple stands under the it, their legal status changes. Standing under the chuppah was a beautiful picture of the changing of the seasons in our spiritual life.
Some interesting chuppah facts:
The Bible mentions the chuppah in Psalm 19:5 "which is like a bridegroom coming forth from his pavilion."(chuppah).
Joel 2: 16.."Let the bridegroom leave his room and the bride her chamber" (chuppah)
The chuppah is to be opened on all four sides to allow for hospitality to visitors from all directions based on the model of patriarch Abraham's tent which was said to be open on all four sides. I was thinking about the time Abraham entertained angels. And I was thinking about the prophetic act chuppah and the angels that were seen.
A golden ring is given under the chuppah by the bridegroom to the bride. Sometimes people have visions under the prophetic act chuppah!
A Ketubah is a legal contract that is presented to the bride under the chuppah.
Jewish weddings are often held outdoors under the chuppah to so the bride and groom can see the sky and the stars and the promise that Abraham's seed would be as many as the stars in heaven. Jewish weddings often happen at sundown for that purpose.
When the glass cup is broken under the chuppah at the end of the ceremony it signals the end of the season for the participants. LIFE HAS CHANGED. The groom leaves behind his single life and the bride becomes a wife.
My life was changed when I completed my prophetic act chuppah experience. I am standing in a new place and in a new season. This is Pastor Susan Living the Everyday Prophetic Life and experiencing a new day!
