The Mayor of Cranky Town

Today I feel like the Mayor of Cranky town.  You know how when you were little and your mom told you it was time to take a nap and it was the LAST thing that you wanted to do but it was the most important thing you could do to make you feel better.  Well pretty much when I get over tired, I get cranky.  Right now if exhaustion was a destination, it was three train stops ago. And sometimes we have a good reason for being cranky. Sometimes we are doing spiritual things and we just can't stop because there is a schedule or a deadline that we have to meet. There is a plan for those of us who are in this place spiritually.  Psalm 23 tells us that the Lord makes us to lie down in green pastures.  I don't want to lie down Lord I am busy!  Green soft pastures that are cool and refreshing... hmmm sounds like God is trying to get me to take a spiritual nap and I just don't want one.  Sometimes, I enjoy being the mayor of cranky town. So Lord forgive me for allowing the everyday work of the everyday prophetic life to stop me from rest.  That green pasture is looking real good right now! This is Pastor Susan living the Everyday Prophetic Life and taking a nap.

The Prophetic in Purim

Purim is a Hebrew holiday that celebrates the deliverance of the Jews from annihilation by the devices of the wicked Hamon. The whole story of adventure, love, betrayal, intrigue, and epic clashes between good and evil is found in the book of Esther in the Bible. The players: Vashti-beautiful Queen of the most powerful Ruler at that time; Mordecai-the Hebrew uncle; Haman-the evil one who wants to wipe out the Jews; Esther-Jewish maiden brought to the palace to the harem; King Ahasuerus-powerful ruler of the known world.
The story opens with King Ahasuerus having a banquet for the princes, nobles and the army leaders. During this time, he calls for Queen Vashti to come and display her beauty. She refused. This made the king angry. So he banned her from his presence. Then came the gathering of the maidens so that the king could find a new queen. Esther who was raised by her uncle Mordecai was brought to the palace. Her uncle admonishes her to keep her heritage quiet. So Esther does not reveal that she is Jewish. But the favor of God's people is upon her and she is moved to the best place in the harem.  She is treated specially by the keeper of the harem. She is given special food and attendents but mostly she is given advice. Now before she could be brought to the king, she was given a twelve month beauty treatment. She was given six months of oil of myrrh and six months of spices and cosmetics.
Meanwhile, a plot to kill the king is discovered by Mordecai and the plot is overthrown which saves the kings life. Remember this as it will be very important later in the story. Shortly after this Haman rises to power in the kingdom. And he begins to demand deference and worship from those who come in contact with him. But Mordecai who only worships God refuses. So then Haman discovers that Mordecai is a Jew and decides that all Jews must be wiped off the face of the earth. An edict goes forth and the annihilation begins. Esther learns of what is happening from her uncle Mordecai, who tells her that her appointment with her destiny moment is at hand. He tells her that she is not safe as well as any other Jewish person, and asks her to intercede on behalf of her people with the king. Now the choice is more difficult, do nothing and die with the Jews, OR go to the king who has not called you and face death UNLESS he extends his scepter to you. Esther requests prayer and fasting and also states that she and her maidens will pray and fast as well. Then she approaches the king. At this time Haman is having a gallows built to hang Mordecai upon. And then Esther goes to the king, who extends his scepter to her. He offers her up to half his kingdom, and what does she ask for? She asks for the king and Haman to come to a banquet that she has prepared just for them. That night the king could not sleep and he asks for the chronicles be read to him and that is when he hears about the plot that Mordecai had discovered. The next day he has Haman lead  Modecai wearing the king's robes and on the king's horse through the street proclaiming that this is what is done for the man that the king chooses to honor. Then they go to the banquet, and Esther asks them to come back the next night for another banquet. On the second night Queen Esther makes her request for her and her people. The king is so upset that someone should try to hurt the queen goes to the garden. Haman stays to beg for his life. When the king returns the Haman has fallen onto Queen Esther's sofa. The king has him taken away and he is hanged on the gallows that he prepared for Mordecai. The decree is changed and the Jews will not be annihilated but they may seek vengence on their enemies and a great victory is had!
Where is the prophetic in Purim? Understanding the the enemy of our souls was trying to cut off our destiny at the root. He was trying to stop the Messiah from being born. Because if you have no children of Abraham, you have no lineage for the Messiah to come from. But God protected the root of our family tree, the root of the Judeo-Christian heritage.
Oh and ladies, my favorite part of this story is how Esther prepared herself for her role in destiny. She made herself beautiful. A year of beauty treatments to step into place to stop the annihilation of her people. Amazing! God is so good to us. He allows us to rest and just be beautiful! Now how fun is this!

Prophetic Purpose

Prophetic Purpose

1. Given by the Holy Spirit
2. Set timing
3. Set place
4. Divine purpose
5. Fulfills Destiny
6. Releases Blessings
7. Requires Obedience
8. Requires faith
9. Results are not guaranteed.

A prophetic assignment is brought to you from the Father's heart by the Holy Spirit. The assignment has a set timing, in other words there is a window of time in which the assignment can be accomplished. It has a set place, there is a location where the assignment is supposed to happen. You may not be aware of the exact location where this is supposed to happen but you will be given a starting place. A prophetic assignment has a divine purpose, both for you and the other persons. God has a plan and He is entrusting this to you to fulfill the activation of that plan. A prophetic assignment fulfills destiny. Destiny is about to be birthed and your assignment is to help bring that forth. As you release destiny, you release blessing in your own life. The assignment requires obedience and the obedience releases the blessing. The obedience requires faith because the results are not guaranteed. Wait, what do you mean the results are not guaranteed?? It's because each person has freewill and they can choose to respond or not respond. But once you have completed your assignment, and you have completed your role then release the results to the Father.
Let's look at a biblical example of the prophetic assignment: In Acts 9:10, the disciple Agabus received his prophetic assignment in a vision. In the vision the Lord appears to him and specifically tells him what to do. He told Agabus when the set time was, Now, and He told Agabus where to go, the street called Straight, and the house of Judas. The divine purpose, is to lay hands on Saul to receive his sight.  The fulfillment of destiny comes when Saul begins to preach the Gospel proclaiming Jesus in the synagogues, telling them, "He is the Son of God." This prophetic assignment required obedience from Agabus and he tells the Lord in his vision about the harm that Saul has done to the saints.  If required faith for Agabus to head out for this prophetic assignment. The blessing that was released was that now a chief persecutor of the Christians had now become a christian and that particular danger was gone. The blessing for Saul was that the scales fell from his eyes and his sight was restored. In this example the results were told to Agabus by the Lord in the vision, that Saul would bear the Lord's name before Gentiles and kings and the sons of Israel.
What prophetic assignment has the Lord given to you that will release blessing in your life through obedience? Think about it. This is Pastor Susan Living the Everyday Prophetic Life and fulfilling God's assignments.

Bring the Water

Bring the Water
Shevat

The Jewish month connected to Water

Carry the water
Pour the water
The sea of humanity cries out for a drink
The water of His Presence

All who are thirsty!
The wounded and healed
All who are tired
May His grace be revealed

There is a fountain that flows from the river of life

During the extreme drought of the summer of 2011, the Oklahoma clay became hard and dry. The farmers were selling off their livestock because the drought had burned up the pasture. Wildfires were prevalent and communities were on high alert to protect homes and structures. Water was a precious commodity.
One day the weather seemed to have abated somewhat and Marc and I decided we would take a walk and enjoy the new portion of the two mile sidewalk by our neighborhood. I carried a water bottle with me but Pastor did not. I was so thirsty and I knew that Pastor must be as well. Even though I offered him a drink, he did not accept. Later while shopping in an air conditioned store, Pastor Marc collapsed to the floor. All kinds of dire thoughts filled my mind as the ambulance rushed him to the emergency room. The results? Dehydration. Lack of water in his system, had caused a shutdown.
This is as we are in the body of Christ. As Christians we need the water of His Presence, lest we collapse after spiritual battle. Beloved, we need the water of His Presence for strength for the journey and health in our bones. Jan/Feb are the Hebrew month of Shevat. Be aware of the watering places in your life and look to Jesus who said, in John 4:14 "but whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall become in him a well of water springing up unto eternal life." Beloved, drink of the well of God's love and Presence this day! This is Pastor Susan Living the Everyday Prophetic Life and enjoying the well of His grace!

In The Quiet

In the Quiet

In the Quiet of my heart
I hear Your voice so still and small
In the Quiet of my heart
I hear Your voice like the thunder in the sky
In the Quiet of my heart
I hear Your voice and it fills me with wonder

In the Quiet of my heart
The sound of Your Presence
brings faith and hope.

Let the Quiet Roar!
Let the Quiet resound!
Let the Quiet be filled
with God's grace and peace

Amen
Sometimes it is difficult to find the quiet place with all the daily noise of our busy lives. I encourage you today to find time to listen to the quiet that sometimes roars with the sound of His Presence. Many blessings to you today beloved in Christ!

Called to be an Anna

Recently I heard a friend refer to the Anna anointing: that anointing which allows one to pray and fast and wait for destiny to be birthed. This is different than the gifting of the midwife which is actually present at the birth. This is the anointing for the waiting room. Now think about your experience in a waiting room at a hospital or birthing center. You are not in the room, you don't really know how far along the process is, or when the baby will arrive. You have to have patience. You have to be able to look into the future and see the end result.
The Anna anointing involves prayer and fasting but also patience and trust. The Messiah had been promised for thousands of years. In the last 400 years in Israel's history the prophet's had gone silent. There was a silence in the land. Interestingly enough it was 10 (the number of the law) times 40 the number of years the Israelites had wandered in the wilderness. Anna was a woman of prayer and fasting and the Bible says in Luke 2:37, that she "departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day." In other words she never left the waiting room! The temple was the spiritual hub of the day and this woman stayed there all the time seeking God. Now what happens when you spend time seeking God is that when He shows up in a new way you recognize Him! This is exactly what happened with Anna. She was in the Temple praying and fasting and then Mary and Joseph show up with baby Jesus. But not as the Triumphant King that Israel was expecting but as a small baby. But Anna saw the gift of God even though the gift was not in the package other's expected!  She was one that pierced the current world structure with her proclamation to all who looked for redemption in Israel. She pierced the old structure by pointing to a new paradigm! That Christ had come in the form of a babe!
So the Anna anointing rests on one who through prayer and fasting will pierce the world's structure by recognizing the gift of God for the new season!
If you are an Anna prepare to take your gifting to the next prophetic activation by decreeing that the old structures cannot hold the new manifestation of God. Prepare to pierce the atmosphere with revelation gleaned from your position in the spiritual hub of prayer and fasting.
This is Pastor Susan calling forth all the Anna's to arise. Decree now that the old has passed away and look for new revelation!

When the ordinary becomes extraordinary in God's hands!

What's that in your hand? What do you have that God can use? Do you have water that can be turned to wine like those at the wedding in Cana? Do you have a rod that can be held over the Red Sea; and under the power and authority of God watch it separate and create a path of freedom and deliverance for a nation? Do you have jars that can be supernaturally filled with oil to supply a stream of prosperity for you and for your posterity? Do you have a few loaves and fishes that can feed thousands? When you have something in your hand in the natural God can use it in a miracle of multiplication, manifestation, and destiny change.
Lately I have noticed a prophetic pattern. When I go someplace to minister, I bring the anointing but the people of the place have something there that God wants to use in a miracle working manner. A manner that will change destiny! It can be two poles from which the Lord directs a chuppah to be made. Or it can be a door frame through which people pass to signify the "going over" to the Promised land in their lives. It can be seven stones from a garden  used to create an altar upon which ministers can pour anointing oil to remember the place that God spoke to them from heaven.
Here is the prophetic lesson for you today. When you are ministering do not just think of what you bring with you, your own anointing, think of what God has in place for you to pull from the spiritual atmosphere to create the miracle for that particular group of people. Keep your spiritual eyes wide open and the Lord will show you what to do and what to use. Be willing to step out on the bridge of faith, because sometimes the instructions will not come until the last minute. But God will never be late. What is that in your hand prophet? This is Pastor Susan Living the Everyday Prophetic Life with God's miracle anointing in her hands!

Interpreting a Vision

So you have had a vision and now you are not sure what to do with what you have seen. Well, let me begin by saying that visions, dreams, and prophetic words are like onions. They have layers. That is why I tell people to write them down. God's words to us are true and yea, and amen! so when you receive a word from Him, keep a record of it. That way when it comes time for prophetic activation to occur you have the roadmap written down. In order to interpret your vison or dream you need a vision dictionary or encyclopedia if you will. A dictionary will give you basic knowledge of objects, colors, numbers etc but an encyclopedia view will give you the depth and breadth of interpretation that you need. Where do you get these materials? I have some blogs available on prophetic colors, prophetic objects, etc...But developing your own vision interpretation dictionary and encyclopedia is important. When you see a vision here are some basic steps to take
1.Write it down. Not just the basics but
try to remember details. Timing, places, names, clothing and colors. What were you feeling at the time of the vision, fearful, excited, angry, joyful. Who else was there in the vision?
2. The dictionary part: look at each item individually for pieces of information that you can readily see.
3. The encyclopedia approach: now gather up the important timeline of the vision. What happened and in what sequence.
4 Finally the most important. Ask the Holy Spirit to grant you wisdom and revelation as you seek to learn more about what He has shown you.
These basic steps are key to understanding the vsion that God has given to you.
This is Pastor Susan Living the Everyday Prophetic Life and learning about visions.

The Scorching Sun

So if you know me, you know that one of my favorite teachings and sermons is Lo, the Winter is past! (check out my blog in the archives). So that made this new revelation all the more powerful to me. I am not one who teaches that you have to live something to understand it fully, but I am one to say that really helps put your teaching in perspective. This summer in Oklahoma was the hottest on record ever. We are talking dust bowl days of the 1930's ever. I mean there were days that felt like they would melt your eyeballs. It was not uncommon to see a temperature gauge in the 110's and we were over 100 for almost 3 months. Nothing grew, I mean unless you watered it, basically the exceptional drought killed the vegetation. The ground began to cake and cracks were so deep, I remember a story on the news that a puppy fell into one and had to be dug out by fire crews. The trees withered up and went dormant. And going outside to do yard work, or take a walk was down right dangerous. It was often 100 degrees at 10 o'clock at night.
So what does this have to do with the Everyday prophetic life? Well, one day I had a revelation! It's not just winter that stops growth and fruition and harvest, it's the scorching sun of summer as well. I was thinking about my watermelon plant that grew 15 feet wide. That's right fifteen feet wide and had not one piece of fruit on it because the heat made it impossible to bear fruit. Now think of that from a spiritual perspective. Have you ever been in such a fiery furnace of persecution and trial that you are just trying to survive let alone bear fruit for the kingdom? Have your ever felt like the situation that you are in is so terrifically heated with anger or white hot rage that it feels like you are in a furnace? Bingo! That's what being in Oklahoma in the hottest summer ever has taught me. Sometimes you need to get out of the sun to get into the Son of God's plan for your life. Psalm 121:6 says, "The sun shall not smite thee by day," God promised His followers that the sun shall not smite or hurt them by day. I think of this as a spiritual event. The trials, the tribulations, the fiery furnace of persecution shall not smite you by day. Think of what an amazing prophetic promise. God knew that those times would come in our lives and He said you shall not be smitten! If you are in that place let me pray for you right now: Father in the name of Jesus Your Son, we come before you and ask for my brother and sister in Christ to be sheltered from every fiery blast that has come against them and for you to give them complete rest and peace under the shadow of your wings. This is Pastor Susan Living the Everyday Prophetic Life and rejoicing in the Lord's protection.

Activating your Prophetic Destiny Part 2

How do I activate my prophetic destiny to bring the plan of God from the heavenly realm to the earthly realm? This is the burning question in the heart of many believers. First of all, let me tell you that you have not failed. Listen to me carefully, you have not failed. You are seeking God's direction and God's plan and you are searching for the activation of God's prophetic word for you. Think of a mountain range. Think of how big the mountains are and how they span miles and miles of the landscape. When you see them in the distance you think that is so pretty so majestic. As you get closer you begin to realize just how far away the mountains were! And as you get closer than that you realize that there may be valleys in between the mountains. You see that the first mountain is very, very far away from the second mountain that you see. Now let's think about this example as it relates to the prophetic. When you receive a prophetic word you see it in the distance and you don't realize how big it is. You think of the word's power and majesty but you don't think of how difficult it can be to climb that mountain, or activate it if you will. And when you get to the first step of your prophetic fulfillment you don't realize that there is a valley of time in between this part of the word that has activated and the rest of the word that that has yet to be fulfilled. This is a common prophetic experience. Think about the Old Testament prophets who would prophecy Jesus the Messiah coming as a servant, coming to die for our sins and then giving a prophetic word about Jesus coming in His glory and descending from the sky with a shout. They didn't see the valley of time between the first coming of Jesus and the Second coming of the Lord. Timing is critical in the activation of your prophetic word. Understanding the seasons is very important to completing the activation of your it. For more understanding you might read my blog Activating your prophetic destiny! This is Pastor Susan Living the Everyday Prophetic Life and activating the prophetic!

Living between the tick and the tock of the clock

Living between the tick and the tock of the clock is living in the present moment. We don't live in the tick of yesterday or the tock that is coming tomorrow, we are living in the pause that is the present moment of our lives. Pastor Marc always says that the past always wins. No matter how many times we review it and how many times we think we might have done something different, history has been written and cannot be altered. So in effect no matter how hard we strive to change the past -the tick- the past always wins because it cannot be changed. So let it go!

When we do that the pause becomes the loudest sound of all. It becomes the sound that we dwell in each day. And then we enjoy the pause that is the everyday moments of the everyday life, the everyday prophetic life.

We are reminded that God holds the future.Because He sees it and He knows what is coming. The sound of the tock is God's domain.

Don't be afraid of the future and don't mourn the past. Let go and let God be a part of this moment in your life.

This is Pastor Susan living the everyday prophetic life in the pause between the tick and the tock.

Understanding the Hebrew months

Understanding the Hebrew months. This month of Elul is associated with the time that the King is in the field. This is the time that Kings would come out of the palace and dwell among the people. To understand the month of Elul, you need an understanding of the Hebrew concept of time. To the Hebrew there is regular time "chol" and holy time "kodesh". The holy times are those set aside for festivals, shabbat, and holidays. These kodesh times are when we leave behind our daily routine and we enter into the presence of the Lord. The regular time is when we do our work, our daily routine, we are in our field so to speak. Remember in Bible times the field was where the farmer planted the seed, grew the produce and harvested the grain. To the Hebrews the month of Elul is considered a combination of times the kodesh and the chol. A time when we don't stop our activities to enter into His Presence, The King comes to us and enters into our field.
Jesus our Messiah is a living portrait of the month of Elul. Jesus came to us, He tabernacled among us. He dwelt among us. He brought the Presence of God into the daily lives of men.
When the King is in the palace there are many protocols to go through to visit with Him. There are many rules and regulations to enter the Holy of Holies if you will. But think of the difference when Jesus came and dwelt among us, among sinners and saints alike. Everyone had access to Him. The Pharisees, the Sadducees and the little children who Jesus said not to forbid to come to Him.
My favorite month of the year is the month of Elul. This year it begins at sundown on August 30, 2011. Enjoy you time with the Lord during this month and remember that He has come to meet you in your daily routine, your activities and your work.

Cup of Peace

Sometimes on our journey with the Lord we are in a dry and thirsty land. We are parched and need a fresh cool drink of living water. We are in a desert season and we don't even realize how hot and dusty the road has become. In those times a cup of living water is exactly what we need. The cup that runs over in the presence of our enemies. The cup that we drink from and remember our salvation and our first love of the Lord. The cup that reminds us of simpler times and simpler places before we became battle weary and war wounded in this struggle against the powers of darkness. If you will.... the times that we remember the shire that verdant living green place full of peace and joy. For those of you on the front lines of this battle, may the Lord Himself today offer you that cup of refreshment. Drink deeply and find the rest for your soul. This is Pastor Susan Living the Everyday Prophetic Life and drinking of God's cup of peace.

Joy comes in the Morning! Creating your testimony

For those of you suffering loss, whether financial, relational, emotional pain or health issues, I want you to hear these words, "Where you are today is not where you will be tomorrow". It may feel like nothing will ever change. It may feel like you are always going to be broke or sick or sad but I assure you that what you are going through is not forever. Your sorrow has an expiration date. One of my favorite Scriptures is this, Psalm 30:5, "weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning."  You are going to make it through this dark night of your life. And you are going to have a testimony. A testimony that no one can take from you as it is the story of your life. As you read my blogs you will see that they are the testimonies of my life. They tell the stories of God's victory in me over darkness, over financial loss, or emotional pain or sickness. I tell my story because to me it is the most powerful tool (other than the Bible) that I have to show others that God is alive and working in our day to day lives. I tell how God is interested that you have the dollars it takes to do your laundry when I blog about Money in the Wind. I tell about how God cares for our big financial needs in Hidden Treasures Revealed. I tell about the time I was on a remote island and all I wanted was two motion sickness pills and God sent an angel with them in the blog My angelic encounter. You are creating a testimony that cannot be taken from you as you walk out these experiences in your daily life. God is faithful. If you are sick or need healing, God is faithful. If you are sad or hurt in your soul, to the fiber of your being, God is faithful. He does NOT change. I believe that He is no respecter of persons. What He did for me, He will do for you. You are going to make it. When the sun comes up tomorrow you are one day closer to complete health, complete financial wholeness, complete emotional wholeness. I believe this and I believe this for you. This is Pastor Susan Living the Everyday Prophetic Life and creating a testimony

When winter left!

I was way up in Northwest Oklahoma on an early spring day. I was sitting at a stoplight facing west and looking north. Suddenly, the wind picked up and blew from the south and the leaves from the long hard cold winter that were strewn about the intersection began to swirl to the North! I heard in my spirit, "There goes winter!" And then the leaves just went flying straight north, and it was as if the the winter had sounded a retreat in that blustery moment and away with the leaves flew the cold, and the bitter, and the hardness and barrenness of that season.
This physical manifestation of the abrupt end of winter gave me a picture that the winter season can end abruptly, quickly and decisively. And so today, I was sitting at my desk at work and in the spirit, I saw a whirlwind come and blow my spiritual winter season away and I watched as it went north and left. I thought to myself now that was surprising and I knew that everything had changed in a moment and I felt the excitement of new beginnings and springtime.
If you are in a winter season, you might read my blog, Lo, the Winter is Past! and if you need to understand a microvision you might read Wait! Was that a Vision? But right now I want to pray for you!
Father, in the name of Jesus, I pray for my friend, my brother and sister in the Lord, and I pray that the wind of the Spirit will come and blow away the barreness, the cold, the bitter hardness of winter and launch them into the beginning of springtime! May miracles, signs and wonders, and gifts be poured abundantly upon them like the springtime rain! Lord Let it Rain! Let it Rain! Amen!
This is Pastor Susan Living the Everyday Prophetic Life in the glorious newness of spring!

Prophetic Acts Standing under the Chuppah

Sometimes the Lord will ask us to perform a prophetic act or action as a picture of what He is planning to do in our midst. Recently, the Lord asked me to set up a chuppah, a Jewish wedding tent, and to stand under it and be prayed for as a prophetic act of stepping into a new season. The chuppah consists basically of four poles and a beautiful tapestry cloth over the top of the poles. Many Jewish people use a tallit (a Jewish prayer shawl) and that is what we used for our chuppah. The tallit symbolizes all the promises of God and so it is very prophetic to stand under a tallit as the covering for the chuppah.
Standing under the chuppah with my husband, I renewed my vows of covenant with the Lord. Did you know that the chuppah is a legal instrument? It is part of the contractual completion of the wedding ceremony. When a betrothed couple stands under the it, their legal status changes. Standing under the chuppah was a beautiful picture of the changing of the seasons in our spiritual life.
Some interesting chuppah facts:
The Bible mentions the chuppah in Psalm 19:5 "which is like a bridegroom coming forth from his pavilion."(chuppah).
Joel 2: 16.."Let the bridegroom leave his room and the bride her chamber" (chuppah)
The chuppah is to be opened on all four sides to allow for hospitality to visitors from all directions based on the model of patriarch Abraham's tent which was said to be open on all four sides. I was thinking about the time Abraham entertained angels. And I was thinking about the prophetic act chuppah and the angels that were seen.
A golden ring is given under the chuppah by the bridegroom to the bride. Sometimes people have visions under the prophetic act chuppah!
A Ketubah is a legal contract that is presented to the bride under the chuppah.
Jewish weddings are often held outdoors under the chuppah to so the bride and groom can see the sky and the stars and the promise that Abraham's seed would be as many as the stars in heaven. Jewish weddings often happen at sundown for that purpose.
When the glass cup is broken under the chuppah at the end of the ceremony it signals the end of the season for the participants. LIFE HAS CHANGED. The groom leaves behind his single life and the bride becomes a wife.
My life was changed when I completed my prophetic act chuppah experience. I am standing in a new place and in a new season. This is Pastor Susan Living the Everyday Prophetic Life and experiencing a new day!

Seven Year Promise

What if God told you the answer to your prayers would come in seven years? What if He said that your seven year journey would be a time of incredible learning and understanding about His nature? What if in that seven years you learned more about yourself and your own heart and mind and soul than you thought possible. You see He knows the end from the beginning. He understands all the twists and turns in the road and He holds your hand and walks it out with you. He makes you lie down in green pastures when you need rest. He leads you beside the still waters when just the sound of stillness and the fresh smell of water refreshes your soul. He prepares the table before you in the presence of your enemies. Your cup of welcome to His Presence runneth over. And you will fear no evil. Because you have been given a PROMISE.
Jacob understood a seven year promise for his precious bride Rachel. He walked it out and understood what it meant to wait for fulfillment of God's plan. There are those today who would say that the instant answer to prayer means that you prayed in faith and somehow it is a better answer. But I assure you that there is a depth to a seven year promise.
This blog is for all of you fighting the good fight and waiting for the victory and understanding that sometimes the answer yes is still on it's way. I get it. God gets it. And the place you are in is very precious. Because you are on the journey to answered prayer and it is an amazing incredible path!
Blessings on you today! This is Pastor Susan Living the Everyday Prophetic Life in year six of her seven year journey. Trusting God for His Promise!

Hidden Treasures Revealed!

Hidden Treasures Revealed
God's Provision!

Isaiah 45:3 "I will give you the treasures of darkness, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, who summons you by name."

Sometimes our supply is stored in dark places, in secret hideaways, tucked away or buried deep, we have treasure from heaven yet to be revealed. Sometimes we have to look for our treasure and it is not always in the most obvious place. I love how the Lord teaches us these everyday prophetic lessons as we just follow after Him and His heart. That is my adventure! I am always ready for a treasure map and a compass and a new place to find God's supply! So here is my story!
I joined the PTA because I wanted to have a voice for my Christian values to be heard on the foundational level in my daughters' school. And of course somehow I became a minor officer because no one else really wanted to do that task. And then there was the statewide PTA conference and no one else could go so I went with another mom. And then there were these PTA classes. I just wanted to learn something fun for the school activities but the state PTA conference was more like a political meeting. But somehow I ended up in a class on insurance. Now stay with me because you are going to LOVE this story! So I am in this insurance class and bored to tears and wondering what in the world I am doing here and I hear the presenter say, " You should get all of your insurance policies together in one place in a binder so you can have them handy."  And a bell went off in my spirit. So when I got home I decided I would find all of our insurance policies and put them in a binder. Usually, I left all that to Marc but I had such an urgency to do it. So I got a little chair out and climbed on it to reach the top shelf of the closet where in the back I found one of those disease specific policies that they sold back in the 70's for a few bucks a month. And I remembered asking Marc if we should add him to the policy since his family didn't usually have that disease but mine did. I remember we said, "Well it's just $1.27 a month so go ahead" Now here comes the really interesting part. We both had forgotten about that policy because it was so small. But guess what? Marc had gotten that disease and had completed all the treatments for it 6 months prior to my finding that pamphlet. And every treatment was covered! It was a cash policy where the company paid us directly the money. So I brought out the little pamphlet and called the claims number and in a few weeks received a check for thousands of dollars. Now what is the point of this story? All the time we had been struggling for finances while he had been sick, there was a supply line but it was just hidden away in the top of the closet. My treasure was 24 inches from my hand, I just didn't know it was there! Now I believe that we all have treasure like that in our lives. I believe that God knows where it is! I believe if you ask the Lord He will reveal it to you!
Ask Him to reveal it to you! You may have to take a journey to a place you don't expect to get your map as to where to look but He will order your steps and you will find your provision!

Money in the Wind

Unexpected Supply Lines are Forming!
Watch for your heavenly Provision!
Here is how I learned the provision of God. When I left home in New England to go to Oral Roberts University, in Oklahoma, I had a suitcase, a trunk, a scholarship and 50 dollars. My family did not have resources to support me so I was on my own with my hand firmly in the Lord's. And I learned to trust. When I needed to do my laundry, I found money. On the ground. All the time. Usually in the prayer gardens at the University. I remember one time in particular that I needed money for something that I had to have like shampoo or laundry detergent. It had snowed and the ground was frozen. And there it was, a $20.00 bill on laying on top of the snow. No footprints around it. I grew to know that my needs would be met. This particular time became a benchmark for me. It was a time I looked back on over and over and thought of the blessings of the Lord.
I love to tell other stories of how the Lord provided me with resources as I studied for my degree.
Sometimes relatives would mail me small amounts of cash like $5.00 and I was so blessed to have the money to take care of an immediate need. Usually never early but never late did the funds arrive. I went through four years of college like this. Trusting, expecting and finding blessings in very unexpected places. This was a great training ground for a ministry life.
Whenever there was an offering taken in one of the meetings, I would be so excited. I would reach into my wallet and give every penny that I had. After all, it was miracle money and the Lord was my provision. I remember literally shaking my change purse into the offering plates to make sure it was all given to the Lord. I had learned the lesson of wild abandoned giving and was living in a time of what I like to call the cruse of oil. That refers to the Biblical account of Elijah and the never empty cruse of oil of the widow who prepared first the cake for the man of God and then tended to her and her son's needs.
One time years later, I was in a parking lot and the  Oklahoma wind was just swirling. And then I saw the most amazing thing happen.  Money, I mean lots of cash, swirling by and no one was chasing it. So I stopped and picked it up. Yes it was literally money in the wind.
Beloved friends, we may be headed into times where we must rely on a new supply chain of unexpected blessings. But God knows the supply routes. He has not forgotten the recipe for manna as I heard it put recently. Our source is not the world's supply lines but heavenly supply lines.
And I love God's faithful reminders!
Many years later in a  time when Marc was in job transition, he had gone to Walmart to pick up a few items. I was praying and asking the Lord for favor and blessing to help us through this transition. Marc came home and said, "Hey guess what I found on the floor at Walmart?" What? "A $20.00 bill!" I laughed out loud and the Lord's sure message to me. A prayer garden, a mail box, a parking lot, a store floor, God has a way of sending us just what we need at the right moment. Be watching for my blog on hidden treasures revealed. You won't want to miss that one. This is Pastor Susan Living the Everyday Prophetic Life and watching for the wind that carries the supply!

Prophetic Art !

Prophetic Art!
Prophetic art is a wonderful expression of the prophetic gifting of the Holy Spirit. A prophetic artist will take an image from the Holy Spirit and create the message that He wants to speak to His people with visual mediums such as pastels, chalk, pencils, oils etc. During a prophetic meeting the artist will hear the spoken word and translate it into a picture that contains the message. Sometimes the picture will capture the essence of the message and then take it to the next dimension by presenting elements that forthtell future plans as well as hidden secrets.
I love to look at prophetic artwork because of the layers of meaning. Here is a piece of prophetic art that was painted at one of our meetings.
The picture was painted during a glory conference. The scroll coming down from heaven represents the message from the throne room for the service. See the people worshiping? See the jar of oil and glory being poured out? See the river? What else do you see? This is just one example of a prophetic artwork done during a prophetic meeting. Do you feel called to have your artwork speak to the nations? God has many ways to express His gifts to us. The visual media is one way that can break through barriers that the spoken word cannot. Prophetic art is a beautiful representation of the myriad of creativity of God. This picture was painting by a wonderful artist from Altus, Oklahoma. She is truly a gift to our network of ministries. The prophetic art medium that I create is from fabric. I love to work with beautiful fabric to create flags, banners and worship tents. Where does the creativity of art manifest in you? What aspect of creation do you reflect for His glory? This is Pastor Susan Living the Everyday Prophetic Life and creating for His glory!
