Called to be an Anna

Recently I heard a friend refer to the Anna anointing: that anointing which allows one to pray and fast and wait for destiny to be birthed. This is different than the gifting of the midwife which is actually present at the birth. This is the anointing for the waiting room. Now think about your experience in a waiting room at a hospital or birthing center. You are not in the room, you don't really know how far along the process is, or when the baby will arrive. You have to have patience. You have to be able to look into the future and see the end result.
The Anna anointing involves prayer and fasting but also patience and trust. The Messiah had been promised for thousands of years. In the last 400 years in Israel's history the prophet's had gone silent. There was a silence in the land. Interestingly enough it was 10 (the number of the law) times 40 the number of years the Israelites had wandered in the wilderness. Anna was a woman of prayer and fasting and the Bible says in Luke 2:37, that she "departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day." In other words she never left the waiting room! The temple was the spiritual hub of the day and this woman stayed there all the time seeking God. Now what happens when you spend time seeking God is that when He shows up in a new way you recognize Him! This is exactly what happened with Anna. She was in the Temple praying and fasting and then Mary and Joseph show up with baby Jesus. But not as the Triumphant King that Israel was expecting but as a small baby. But Anna saw the gift of God even though the gift was not in the package other's expected!  She was one that pierced the current world structure with her proclamation to all who looked for redemption in Israel. She pierced the old structure by pointing to a new paradigm! That Christ had come in the form of a babe!
So the Anna anointing rests on one who through prayer and fasting will pierce the world's structure by recognizing the gift of God for the new season!
If you are an Anna prepare to take your gifting to the next prophetic activation by decreeing that the old structures cannot hold the new manifestation of God. Prepare to pierce the atmosphere with revelation gleaned from your position in the spiritual hub of prayer and fasting.
This is Pastor Susan calling forth all the Anna's to arise. Decree now that the old has passed away and look for new revelation!

Prophetic Garden

I have been thinking lately about the concept of prophetic gardens and the act of prophetic gardening. Isn't it interesting that the first place named and inhabited by man was the Garden of Eden. The Bible says in Genesis 2:8, "And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden;" And the description of the vegetation in the garden is designed so that we could see the prophetic picture of what God had in mind for us. He provisioned us with everything that we needed to live abundantly. In Genesis 2:9 it says that , "out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food;" The fruit of the garden spoke of God's love and care for us. And the prophetic picture in the garden becomes greater when we read that "the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil." ( Genesis 2:9) The Lord declared our destiny to live with Him and also declared our ability to choose life and good.
A garden is a hopeful place. A place where we believe if we plant seeds God will give harvest. We prophesy to the future by declaring our belief in the law of seedtime and harvest.
Now let's take this one step further. Let's look at what we plant and where we plant it. A few years ago, I planted a lavender plant. Just a small one about 4 inches by 4 inches. Now I have a lavender bush about 3 feet by 3 feet. It became a symbol to me of the Lord's direction in my life of Peace be still. Since the planting and harvesting of the lavender wands I have been able to make many many bottles of anointing oil that I call Peace be Still. So my prophetic garden prophesies into the lives of myself and others an anointing for peace in the midst of the storm.
There is an awesome ministry in Corinth Texas that is in the process of planting prayer gardens. Each element of the garden prophesies to the region that God is speaking life and growth to the area. I love it! The depth of thought and planning that has gone into each element of the garden is an inspiration and it has challenged me to expand my own garden, realizing that I am prophesying to my future and to my ministries future with each plant.
I am going to be doing some research on plants and what they symbolize in the Word. As I do I will put some of that information in my blog. Because winter is a time when gardeners dream of spring, and when prophetic gardeners listen to the voice of the Lord to see what He is saying to His people by a visual display of life.

When the ordinary becomes extraordinary in God's hands!

What's that in your hand? What do you have that God can use? Do you have water that can be turned to wine like those at the wedding in Cana? Do you have a rod that can be held over the Red Sea; and under the power and authority of God watch it separate and create a path of freedom and deliverance for a nation? Do you have jars that can be supernaturally filled with oil to supply a stream of prosperity for you and for your posterity? Do you have a few loaves and fishes that can feed thousands? When you have something in your hand in the natural God can use it in a miracle of multiplication, manifestation, and destiny change.
Lately I have noticed a prophetic pattern. When I go someplace to minister, I bring the anointing but the people of the place have something there that God wants to use in a miracle working manner. A manner that will change destiny! It can be two poles from which the Lord directs a chuppah to be made. Or it can be a door frame through which people pass to signify the "going over" to the Promised land in their lives. It can be seven stones from a garden  used to create an altar upon which ministers can pour anointing oil to remember the place that God spoke to them from heaven.
Here is the prophetic lesson for you today. When you are ministering do not just think of what you bring with you, your own anointing, think of what God has in place for you to pull from the spiritual atmosphere to create the miracle for that particular group of people. Keep your spiritual eyes wide open and the Lord will show you what to do and what to use. Be willing to step out on the bridge of faith, because sometimes the instructions will not come until the last minute. But God will never be late. What is that in your hand prophet? This is Pastor Susan Living the Everyday Prophetic Life with God's miracle anointing in her hands!

Bethel

Genesis 28:16-19.And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the Lord is in this place; and I knew it not. And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! this is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.  And Jacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put for his pillows, and set it up for a pillar, and poured oil upon the top of it. And he called the name of that place Bethel:
Just returned from an awesome conference in Altus, Oklahoma. Such a blessing to be a part of so many prophetic and apostolic ministries. As part of my message today, I spoke on open heavens and open gates. I spoke about Jacob finding an open heaven and hearing God's voice. He saw angels ascending and descending on a ladder from that very spot. And when he realized that he had discovered an opening into the heavenlies, he built an altar of a stone and poured out the oil as an act of consecration and to make a memorial of the site. And so we did the same today. We were given seven stones and we prayed over them and anointed them with oil and wine (symbolizing the new wine of the Holy Spirit) and then we consecrated and made a memorial of where God showed us an open heaven at the southwest gate.
What does this have to do with the everyday prophetic life? It means that in those places that you have found God,(such as in your heart) in those places where you have seen angels ascending and descending, consecrate it with oil (the oil of anointing) and wine (the power of the Holy Spirit). And watch transformation begin! This Pastor Susan Living the Everyday Prophetic Life and rejoicing in the open heavens.

Interpreting a Vision

So you have had a vision and now you are not sure what to do with what you have seen. Well, let me begin by saying that visions, dreams, and prophetic words are like onions. They have layers. That is why I tell people to write them down. God's words to us are true and yea, and amen! so when you receive a word from Him, keep a record of it. That way when it comes time for prophetic activation to occur you have the roadmap written down. In order to interpret your vison or dream you need a vision dictionary or encyclopedia if you will. A dictionary will give you basic knowledge of objects, colors, numbers etc but an encyclopedia view will give you the depth and breadth of interpretation that you need. Where do you get these materials? I have some blogs available on prophetic colors, prophetic objects, etc...But developing your own vision interpretation dictionary and encyclopedia is important. When you see a vision here are some basic steps to take
1.Write it down. Not just the basics but
try to remember details. Timing, places, names, clothing and colors. What were you feeling at the time of the vision, fearful, excited, angry, joyful. Who else was there in the vision?
2. The dictionary part: look at each item individually for pieces of information that you can readily see.
3. The encyclopedia approach: now gather up the important timeline of the vision. What happened and in what sequence.
4 Finally the most important. Ask the Holy Spirit to grant you wisdom and revelation as you seek to learn more about what He has shown you.
These basic steps are key to understanding the vsion that God has given to you.

The Scorching Sun

So if you know me, you know that one of my favorite teachings and sermons is Lo, the Winter is past! (check out my blog in the archives). So that made this new revelation all the more powerful to me. I am not one who teaches that you have to live something to understand it fully, but I am one to say that really helps put your teaching in perspective. This summer in Oklahoma was the hottest on record ever. We are talking dust bowl days of the 1930's ever. I mean there were days that felt like they would melt your eyeballs. It was not uncommon to see a temperature gauge in the 110's and we were over 100 for almost 3 months. Nothing grew, I mean unless you watered it, basically the exceptional drought killed the vegetation. The ground began to cake and cracks were so deep, I remember a story on the news that a puppy fell into one and had to be dug out by fire crews. The trees withered up and went dormant. And going outside to do yard work, or take a walk was down right dangerous. It was often 100 degrees at 10 o'clock at night.
So what does this have to do with the Everyday prophetic life? Well, one day I had a revelation! It's not just winter that stops growth and fruition and harvest, it's the scorching sun of summer as well. I was thinking about my watermelon plant that grew 15 feet wide. That's right fifteen feet wide and had not one piece of fruit on it because the heat made it impossible to bear fruit. Now think of that from a spiritual perspective. Have you ever been in such a fiery furnace of persecution and trial that you are just trying to survive let alone bear fruit for the kingdom? Have your ever felt like the situation that you are in is so terrifically heated with anger or white hot rage that it feels like you are in a furnace? Bingo! That's what being in Oklahoma in the hottest summer ever has taught me. Sometimes you need to get out of the sun to get into the Son of God's plan for your life. Psalm 121:6 says, "The sun shall not smite thee by day," God promised His followers that the sun shall not smite or hurt them by day. I think of this as a spiritual event. The trials, the tribulations, the fiery furnace of persecution shall not smite you by day. Think of what an amazing prophetic promise. God knew that those times would come in our lives and He said you shall not be smitten! If you are in that place let me pray for you right now: Father in the name of Jesus Your Son, we come before you and ask for my brother and sister in Christ to be sheltered from every fiery blast that has come against them and for you to give them complete rest and peace under the shadow of your wings. This is Pastor Susan Living the Everyday Prophetic Life and rejoicing in the Lord's protection.

King David and the Battle

Characteristic number one: Giant Killers are obedient. Before King David was King David, he was the youngest son of an elderly father who had sent him on a simple errand to bring food to his older brothers. David honored his father by complying with his wishes and carried the food to the war camp where his older brothers were listening to a Philistine giant defy the God of Israel morning, and evening
Characteristic number two: Giant Killers when given a task-no matter how simple or routine follow the task through to completion.
Characteristic number three: Giant Killers understand the power of rising early because it involves discipline. In 1 Samuel 17:20, the Word says "Early in the morning".
Characteristic number four: Giant Killers run to the front lines. According to I Samuel 17: 22 David ran to the front lines where his brothers were. Giant killers know where the action is and that is where they want to be.
Characteristic number five: Giant killers will not be silenced. Although it angered David's brother, David kept asking the same question as to what would happen to the person who killed the giant. Giant Killers want to know the result of victory. So they keep asking until they are answered and will not be silenced.
Characteristic number six: Giant Killers will go into a battle that others flee from. Young David assured the King that he would fight the giant.
Characteristic number seven: Giant Killers do not listen to those who say it can't be done. King Saul told David he was too young and the giant was too skilled. David did not receive the negative word. Characteristic number eight: Giant Killers have faith that has been honed in prior battles. David mentioned the lion and the bear that he had killed. David had faith in God in those trials and he would have faith in God in this one.
Characteristic number nine: Giant Killers know the weapons of their warfare. David knew that Saul's armour would not work as it was untested for him. He knew that he wanted to take his own staff and get some smooth rocks.
Characteristic number ten. Giant Killers kill giants. David killed the Philistine giant and understood the significance of the victory.
So the question for you today is, "What giant in the spirit needs to be put to rest in your life?" What rises up against you morning and evening and defy's the God within you. Use this lesson to defeat the giants in your life today! This is Pastor Susan Living the Everyday Prophetic Life and running to the battle lines.

Overcoming Goliath

There are two kinds of people. The kind that run toward the battlefield and the ones who run away from the battlefield. Well, I guess there are those who are like deer in the headlights. They just get stop and get frozen in place. I remember one time we were in a church service and during the prayer time a very sweet woman began to yell loudly in a very strange voice as the pastor was praying. It was so strange that the congregation got up and moved toward the back of the sanctuary. They just removed themselves by about 30 feet from the altar. I looked around and there were just a couple of folks who had stepped toward the front to pray harder. These were the giant killers! They were not going to allow strange yelling to interfere with what God was doing at the altar. The giant had to be defeated. That morning there were no deer caught in the headlights. It was very much like the parting of the Red Sea with about eight rows of chairs between the two groups and no one in the middle. God did a marvelous work at the altar that morning. And I learned an important lesson. You either are a giant killer or you are not. There are certain characteristics to those who defeat the giants in their lives. One of those characteristics is that they RUN to the battle. Now in the natural, many would shrink back from confrontation, from the battle front, the battle lines so to speak but a giant killer looks in the direction of the fight and heads in that direction.
The biblical account of David who slew the giant Goliath gives us great insight. In every place where David is engaged in this story he is running toward the battlefield. 1 Samuel 17:22, 24, and 48 talk about David running and even running quickly to the frontlines.
Beloved friends, don't let the enemy get access in your life that is not challenged. Don't allow him access where he can curse and be defiant of God in your life. Don't step away from that fight, and don't get stuck like a deer in the headlights. Run quickly to defeat your foe that would challenge God in you. Don't let the sound of defiance defeat you!

Activating your Prophetic Destiny Part 2

How do I activate my prophetic destiny to bring the plan of God from the heavenly realm to the earthly realm? This is the burning question in the heart of many believers. First of all, let me tell you that you have not failed. Listen to me carefully, you have not failed. You are seeking God's direction and God's plan and you are searching for the activation of God's prophetic word for you. Think of a mountain range. Think of how big the mountains are and how they span miles and miles of the landscape. When you see them in the distance you think that is so pretty so majestic. As you get closer you begin to realize just how far away the mountains were! And as you get closer than that you realize that there may be valleys in between the mountains. You see that the first mountain is very, very far away from the second mountain that you see. Now let's think about this example as it relates to the prophetic. When you receive a prophetic word you see it in the distance and you don't realize how big it is. You think of the word's power and majesty but you don't think of how difficult it can be to climb that mountain, or activate it if you will. And when you get to the first step of your prophetic fulfillment you don't realize that there is a valley of time in between this part of the word that has activated and the rest of the word that that has yet to be fulfilled. This is a common prophetic experience. Think about the Old Testament prophets who would prophecy Jesus the Messiah coming as a servant, coming to die for our sins and then giving a prophetic word about Jesus coming in His glory and descending from the sky with a shout. They didn't see the valley of time between the first coming of Jesus and the Second coming of the Lord. Timing is critical in the activation of your prophetic word. Understanding the seasons is very important to completing the activation of your it. For more understanding you might read my blog Activating your prophetic destiny! Living between the tick and the tock of the clock

Living between the tick and the tock of the clock is living in the present moment. We don't live in the tick of yesterday or the tock that is coming tomorrow, we are living in the pause that is the present moment of our lives. Pastor Marc always says that the past always wins. No matter how many times we review it and how many times we think we might have done something different, history has been written and cannot be altered. So in effect no matter how hard we strive to change the past -the tick- the past always wins because it cannot be changed. So let it go!

When we do that the pause becomes the loudest sound of all. It becomes the sound that we dwell in each day. And then we enjoy the pause that is the everyday moments of the everyday life, the everyday prophetic life.

We are reminded that God holds the future.Because He sees it and He knows what is coming. The sound of the tock is God's domain.

Don't be afraid of the future and don't mourn the past. Let go and let God be a part of this moment in your life.

This is Pastor Susan living the everyday prophetic life in the pause between the tick and the tock.

Understanding the Hebrew months

Understanding the Hebrew months. This month of Elul is associated with the time that the King is in the field. This is the time that Kings would come out of the palace and dwell among the people. To understand the month of Elul, you need an understanding of the Hebrew concept of time. To the Hebrew there is regular time "chol" and holy time "kodesh". The holy times are those set aside for festivals, shabbat, and holidays. These kodesh times are when we leave behind our daily routine and we enter into the presence of the Lord. The regular time is when we do our work, our daily routine, we are in our field so to speak. Remember in Bible times the field was where the farmer planted the seed, grew the produce and harvested the grain. To the Hebrews the month of Elul is considered a combination of times the kodesh and the chol. A time when we don't stop our activities to enter into His Presence, The King comes to us and enters into our field.
Jesus our Messiah is a living portrait of the month of Elul. Jesus came to us, He tabernacled among us. He dwelt among us. He brought the Presence of God into the daily lives of men.
When the King is in the palace there are many protocols to go through to visit with Him. There are many rules and regulations to enter the Holy of Holies if you will. But think of the difference when Jesus came and dwelt among us, among sinners and saints alike. Everyone had access to Him. The Pharisees, the Sadducees and the little children who Jesus said not to forbid to come to Him.
My favorite month of the year is the month of Elul. This year it begins at sundown on August 30, 2011. Enjoy you time with the Lord during this month and remember that He has come to meet you in your daily routine, your activities and your work.

Cup of Peace

Sometimes on our journey with the Lord we are in a dry and thirsty land. We are parched and need a fresh cool drink of living water. We are in a desert season and we don't even realize how hot and dusty the road has become. In those times a cup of living water is exactly what we need. The cup that runs over in the presence of our enemies. The cup that we drink from and remember our salvation and our first love of the Lord. The cup that reminds us of simpler times and simpler places before we became battle weary and war wounded in this struggle against the powers of darkness. If you will.... the times that we remember the shire that verdant living green place full of peace and joy. For those of you on the front lines of this battle, may the Lord Himself today offer you that cup of refreshment. Drink deeply and find the rest for your soul. This is Pastor Susan Living the Everyday Prophetic Life and drinking of God's cup of peace.

Joy comes in the Morning! Creating your testimony

For those of you suffering loss, whether financial, relational, emotional pain or health issues, I want you to hear these words, "Where you are today is not where you will be tomorrow". It may feel like nothing will ever change. It may feel like you are always going to be broke or sick or sad but I assure you that what you are going through is not forever. Your sorrow has an expiration date. One of my favorite Scriptures is this, Psalm 30:5, "weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning."  You are going to make it through this dark night of your life. And you are going to have a testimony. A testimony that no one can take from you as it is the story of your life. As you read my blogs you will see that they are the testimonies of my life. They tell the stories of God's victory in me over darkness, over financial loss, or emotional pain or sickness. I tell my story because to me it is the most powerful tool (other than the Bible) that I have to show others that God is alive and working in our day to day lives. I tell how God is interested that you have the dollars it takes to do your laundry when I blog about Money in the Wind. I tell about how God cares for our big financial needs in Hidden Treasures Revealed. I tell about the time I was on a remote island and all I wanted was two motion sickness pills and God sent an angel with them in the blog My angelic encounter. You are creating a testimony that cannot be taken from you as you walk out these experiences in your daily life. God is faithful. If you are sick or need healing, God is faithful. If you are sad or hurt in your soul, to the fiber of your being, God is faithful. He does NOT change. I believe that He is no respecter of persons. What He did for me, He will do for you. You are going to make it. When the sun comes up tomorrow you are one day closer to complete health, complete financial wholeness, complete emotional wholeness. I believe this and I believe this for you. This is Pastor Susan Living the Everyday Prophetic Life and creating a testimony

When winter left!

I was way up in Northwest Oklahoma on an early spring day. I was sitting at a stoplight facing west and looking north. Suddenly, the wind picked up and blew from the south and the leaves from the long hard cold winter that were strewn about the intersection began to swirl to the North! I heard in my spirit, "There goes winter!" And then the leaves just went flying straight north, and it was as if the the winter had sounded a retreat in that blustery moment and away with the leaves flew the cold, and the bitter, and the hardness and barrenness of that season.
This physical manifestation of the abrupt end of winter gave me a picture that the winter season can end abruptly, quickly and decisively. And so today, I was sitting at my desk at work and in the spirit, I saw a whirlwind come and blow my spiritual winter season away and I watched as it went north and left. I thought to myself now that was surprising and I knew that everything had changed in a moment and I felt the excitement of new beginnings and springtime.
If you are in a winter season, you might read my blog, Lo, the Winter is Past! and if you need to understand a microvision you might read Wait! Was that a Vision? But right now I want to pray for you!
Father, in the name of Jesus, I pray for my friend, my brother and sister in the Lord, and I pray that the wind of the Spirit will come and blow away the barreness, the cold, the bitter hardness of winter and launch them into the beginning of springtime! May miracles, signs and wonders, and gifts be poured abundantly upon them like the springtime rain! Lord Let it Rain! Let it Rain! Amen!
This is Pastor Susan Living the Everyday Prophetic Life in the glorious newness of spring!

Prophetic Acts Standing under the Chuppah

Sometimes the Lord will ask us to perform a prophetic act or action as a picture of what He is planning to do in our midst. Recently, the Lord asked me to set up a chuppah, a Jewish wedding tent, and to stand under it and be prayed for as a prophetic act of stepping into a new season. The chuppah consists basically of four poles and a beautiful tapestry cloth over the top of the poles. Many Jewish people use a tallit (a Jewish prayer shawl) and that is what we used for our chuppah. The tallit symbolizes all the promises of God and so it is very prophetic to stand under a tallit as the covering for the chuppah.
Standing under the chuppah with my husband, I renewed my vows of covenant with the Lord. Did you know that the chuppah is a legal instrument? It is part of the contractual completion of the wedding ceremony. When a betrothed couple stands under the it, their legal status changes. Standing under the chuppah was a beautiful picture of the changing of the seasons in our spiritual life.
Some interesting chuppah facts:
The Bible mentions the chuppah in Psalm 19:5 "which is like a bridegroom coming forth from his pavilion."(chuppah).
Joel 2: 16.."Let the bridegroom leave his room and the bride her chamber" (chuppah)
The chuppah is to be opened on all four sides to allow for hospitality to visitors from all directions based on the model of patriarch Abraham's tent which was said to be open on all four sides. I was thinking about the time Abraham entertained angels. And I was thinking about the prophetic act chuppah and the angels that were seen.
A golden ring is given under the chuppah by the bridegroom to the bride. Sometimes people have visions under the prophetic act chuppah!
A Ketubah is a legal contract that is presented to the bride under the chuppah.
Jewish weddings are often held outdoors under the chuppah to so the bride and groom can see the sky and the stars and the promise that Abraham's seed would be as many as the stars in heaven. Jewish weddings often happen at sundown for that purpose.
When the glass cup is broken under the chuppah at the end of the ceremony it signals the end of the season for the participants. LIFE HAS CHANGED. The groom leaves behind his single life and the bride becomes a wife.
My life was changed when I completed my prophetic act chuppah experience. I am standing in a new place and in a new season. This is Pastor Susan Living the Everyday Prophetic Life and experiencing a new day!

Seven Year Promise

What if God told you the answer to your prayers would come in seven years? What if He said that your seven year journey would be a time of incredible learning and understanding about His nature? What if in that seven years you learned more about yourself and your own heart and mind and soul than you thought possible. You see He knows the end from the beginning. He understands all the twists and turns in the road and He holds your hand and walks it out with you. He makes you lie down in green pastures when you need rest. He leads you beside the still waters when just the sound of stillness and the fresh smell of water refreshes your soul. He prepares the table before you in the presence of your enemies. Your cup of welcome to His Presence runneth over. And you will fear no evil. Because you have been given a PROMISE.
Jacob understood a seven year promise for his precious bride Rachel. He walked it out and understood what it meant to wait for fulfillment of God's plan. There are those today who would say that the instant answer to prayer means that you prayed in faith and somehow it is a better answer. But I assure you that there is a depth to a seven year promise.
This blog is for all of you fighting the good fight and waiting for the victory and understanding that sometimes the answer yes is still on it's way. I get it. God gets it. And the place you are in is very precious. Because you are on the journey to answered prayer and it is an amazing incredible path!
Blessings on you today! This is Pastor Susan Living the Everyday Prophetic Life in year six of her seven year journey. Trusting God for His Promise!

Hidden Treasures Revealed!

Hidden Treasures Revealed
God's Provision!

Isaiah 45:3 "I will give you the treasures of darkness, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, who summons you by name."

Sometimes our supply is stored in dark places, in secret hideaways, tucked away or buried deep, we have treasure from heaven yet to be revealed. Sometimes we have to look for our treasure and it is not always in the most obvious place. I love how the Lord teaches us these everyday prophetic lessons as we just follow after Him and His heart. That is my adventure! I am always ready for a treasure map and a compass and a new place to find God's supply! So here is my story!
I joined the PTA because I wanted to have a voice for my Christian values to be heard on the foundational level in my daughters' school. And of course somehow I became a minor officer because no one else really wanted to do that task. And then there was the statewide PTA conference and no one else could go so I went with another mom. And then there were these PTA classes. I just wanted to learn something fun for the school activities but the state PTA conference was more like a political meeting. But somehow I ended up in a class on insurance. Now stay with me because you are going to LOVE this story! So I am in this insurance class and bored to tears and wondering what in the world I am doing here and I hear the presenter say, " You should get all of your insurance policies together in one place in a binder so you can have them handy."  And a bell went off in my spirit. So when I got home I decided I would find all of our insurance policies and put them in a binder. Usually, I left all that to Marc but I had such an urgency to do it. So I got a little chair out and climbed on it to reach the top shelf of the closet where in the back I found one of those disease specific policies that they sold back in the 70's for a few bucks a month. And I remembered asking Marc if we should add him to the policy since his family didn't usually have that disease but mine did. I remember we said, "Well it's just $1.27 a month so go ahead" Now here comes the really interesting part. We both had forgotten about that policy because it was so small. But guess what? Marc had gotten that disease and had completed all the treatments for it 6 months prior to my finding that pamphlet. And every treatment was covered! It was a cash policy where the company paid us directly the money. So I brought out the little pamphlet and called the claims number and in a few weeks received a check for thousands of dollars. Now what is the point of this story? All the time we had been struggling for finances while he had been sick, there was a supply line but it was just hidden away in the top of the closet. My treasure was 24 inches from my hand, I just didn't know it was there! Now I believe that we all have treasure like that in our lives. I believe that God knows where it is! I believe if you ask the Lord He will reveal it to you!
Ask Him to reveal it to you! You may have to take a journey to a place you don't expect to get your map as to where to look but He will order your steps and you will find your provision!

Money in the Wind

Unexpected Supply Lines are Forming!
Watch for your heavenly Provision!
Here is how I learned the provision of God. When I left home in New England to go to Oral Roberts University, in Oklahoma, I had a suitcase, a trunk, a scholarship and 50 dollars. My family did not have resources to support me so I was on my own with my hand firmly in the Lord's. And I learned to trust. When I needed to do my laundry, I found money. On the ground. All the time. Usually in the prayer gardens at the University. I remember one time in particular that I needed money for something that I had to have like shampoo or laundry detergent. It had snowed and the ground was frozen. And there it was, a $20.00 bill on laying on top of the snow. No footprints around it. I grew to know that my needs would be met. This particular time became a benchmark for me. It was a time I looked back on over and over and thought of the blessings of the Lord.
I love to tell other stories of how the Lord provided me with resources as I studied for my degree.
Sometimes relatives would mail me small amounts of cash like $5.00 and I was so blessed to have the money to take care of an immediate need. Usually never early but never late did the funds arrive. I went through four years of college like this. Trusting, expecting and finding blessings in very unexpected places. This was a great training ground for a ministry life.
Whenever there was an offering taken in one of the meetings, I would be so excited. I would reach into my wallet and give every penny that I had. After all, it was miracle money and the Lord was my provision. I remember literally shaking my change purse into the offering plates to make sure it was all given to the Lord. I had learned the lesson of wild abandoned giving and was living in a time of what I like to call the cruse of oil. That refers to the Biblical account of Elijah and the never empty cruse of oil of the widow who prepared first the cake for the man of God and then tended to her and her son's needs.
One time years later, I was in a parking lot and the  Oklahoma wind was just swirling. And then I saw the most amazing thing happen.  Money, I mean lots of cash, swirling by and no one was chasing it. So I stopped and picked it up. Yes it was literally money in the wind.
Beloved friends, we may be headed into times where we must rely on a new supply chain of unexpected blessings. But God knows the supply routes. He has not forgotten the recipe for manna as I heard it put recently. Our source is not the world's supply lines but heavenly supply lines.
And I love God's faithful reminders!
Many years later in a  time when Marc was in job transition, he had gone to Walmart to pick up a few items. I was praying and asking the Lord for favor and blessing to help us through this transition. Marc came home and said, "Hey guess what I found on the floor at Walmart?" What? "A $20.00 bill!" I laughed out loud and the Lord's sure message to me. A prayer garden, a mail box, a parking lot, a store floor, God has a way of sending us just what we need at the right moment. Be watching for my blog on hidden treasures revealed. You won't want to miss that one. This is Pastor Susan Living the Everyday Prophetic Life and watching for the wind that carries the supply!

Prophetic Art !

Prophetic Art!
Prophetic art is a wonderful expression of the prophetic gifting of the Holy Spirit. A prophetic artist will take an image from the Holy Spirit and create the message that He wants to speak to His people with visual mediums such as pastels, chalk, pencils, oils etc. During a prophetic meeting the artist will hear the spoken word and translate it into a picture that contains the message. Sometimes the picture will capture the essence of the message and then take it to the next dimension by presenting elements that forthtell future plans as well as hidden secrets.
I love to look at prophetic artwork because of the layers of meaning. Here is a piece of prophetic art that was painted at one of our meetings.
The picture was painted during a glory conference. The scroll coming down from heaven represents the message from the throne room for the service. See the people worshiping? See the jar of oil and glory being poured out? See the river? What else do you see? This is just one example of a prophetic artwork done during a prophetic meeting. Do you feel called to have your artwork speak to the nations? God has many ways to express His gifts to us. The visual media is one way that can break through barriers that the spoken word cannot. Prophetic art is a beautiful representation of the myriad of creativity of God. This picture was painting by a wonderful artist from Altus, Oklahoma. She is truly a gift to our network of ministries. The prophetic art medium that I create is from fabric. I love to work with beautiful fabric to create flags, banners and worship tents. Where does the creativity of art manifest in you? What aspect of creation do you reflect for His glory? This is Pastor Susan Living the Everyday Prophetic Life and creating for His glory!

Prophetic Objects

Prophetic Objects-A lesson
Here is a small sampling of the meaning of objects in prophecy whether it is prophetic art, dreams or visions. Remember these descriptions are based on my own experience. As you develop your own dream journal you can add your own insights!

Jars of Oil - One of my favorites! Indicates the anointing and when tipped over indicates an outpouring of the Holy Spirit!

Bowls of Fruit - Usually for me the Gifts of the Spirit, growth and freedom

Keys - Another one of my favorites! Opening of destiny, legal access and authority

Chains - The opposite of keys usually representing bondage and/or need for deliverance.

Shoes- ministry and sometimes ministry travels

Coats- ministry calling such as Pastor, Teacher, Evangelist, Prophet, Apostle

Trumpet/Shofar- prophetic announcement

Boat- ministry that goes about in the sea of humanity

Watch indicates a timing in the Spirit

Scroll indicates a prophetic word coming forth.

Doors/gates indicates openings and entrance points

Pearl Necklace - Wisdom

Silverware - Spiritual food preparation and service

Tables - A place to gather for spiritual nourishment.

These are just a few of the objects that can appear in prophetic art, visions, and prophetic and dreams.

To understand what you are seeing, use the law of natural use which can be explained as what is this object naturally used for as well as the law of Biblical use which is what does the Word say about this particular object.

Please look for my lessons on Prophetic Colors, Prophetic Places and coming soon Prophetic Numbers.

Prophetic Places

Prophetic Places-A lesson
Here is a small sampling of the meaning of places in prophecy whether it is prophetic art, dreams or visions. Remember these descriptions are based on my own experience. As you develop your own dream journal you can add your own insights!

Bus, Train, etc Station- a meeting place for people and ministries going in different directions.   An example might be a ministry conference.

Beach or shoreline- a place to meet Jesus such as Peter did after the resurrection

Mountainside - a place that indicates a challenge

Basement- a foundational place so look for foundational issues being addressed in the prophetic word.

Attic- a storage place so look for things stored from the past that may need to be examined in a new light in your prophetic word or dream

Kitchen- a place of preparation of food so where you are being spiritually fed may need to be addressed.

Garden - look for new fruit for your ministry

Vineyard- look for new ministry gifts and manifestation of the Holy Spirit. Expect new wine!

Here is the basic idea, a natural place will indicate a spiritual meaning that is similar to the natural meaning. Look to the Word first to see what the Bible has to say about the place. Sometimes the places are addressed and explained in the Word. That is why a strong Biblical background is so important to prophetic interpretation.

Please check out my blog on Prophetic Colors and look for my soon coming blogs on Prophetic Numbers and Prophetic Objects.

Wait! Was that a Vision? In the Blink of an Eye.

I want to describe what I call a microvision. That is a vision that happens in a microsecond, a blink of an eye. It is a vision that you can see with your natural eyes or your spiritual eyes. It happens so fast that sometimes you can't tell if your eyes were open or not. A microvision can contain a massive amount of heavenly information compressed into that fraction of the second.  For example yesterday I was thinking about changes in people I know and then I saw a big brown and black door close. It had a black doorknob. Wow that is a lot of information. Something was changing in the supernatural realm for the person and the door was a symbol of that change. Brown speaks of earthly things and black can speak of hidden things since darkness hides things. What was driving the change in their lives- the doorknob- was black and so I knew that there were hidden things that were controlling the change. That's a lot of information and that vision lasted less than a second.
Sometimes you are looking at a natural object and you see a supernatural change. One of the best examples I can think of this happened to a friend of mine several years ago. She was in her car and crossing the street in front of her was a commercial van. On the van instead of the wording advertising the business she saw the words, Revival is coming.
The blink of an eye is a term we are used to from the Bible. The New Living Translation says "It will happen in a moment, in the blink of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown." I Corinthians 15:52. The concept of important spiritual things happening in the blink of an eye is not new. One of the most important events of church history is the rapture of the bride of Christ being swept out of this world. And yet it happens in the blink of an eye. So this means that big important things don't need any more than a blink to take place. This is an important concept that we as Christians need to grasp. Sometimes the microvision is the most powerful spiritual event of the day, the everyday. This is Pastor Susan Living the Everyday Prophetic Life.

Even if I Fall

Even if I fall, I will get up. Even if I fall, I will rise to the challenge. Even if I fall, I will stand with the cloud of witnesses. Even if I fall, the battle is won. Even if I fall, there is victory on the horizon. Even if I fall, I will not drop my sword. Even if I fall, I will not drop my shield. Even if I fall, I will not be afraid. Even if I fall, You O Lord are here beside me. And YOU lift me up. Even if I fall, I will soar with eagle's wings. Even if I fall, I will win the race. Even if I fall.
Have you fallen in your battle? God understands. I do too.

Finding your Key

If you have a giant to overcome, you have to find your key. You have to find that which will allow you to overcome the giant in your life. The key that will unlock your victory. In the Bible, David found a smooth stone. The Bible says that he went to the brook to get it. That was his key to overcome the giant in his life. When he sent that stone flying into the air with his slingshot, it went sure and steady and felled the giant.  Now the stone was real and the giant was real but the stone can serve as a metaphor for the key to victory.
Sometimes we don't know what the key is to victory. Sometimes the key can be buried in the past and you have to figure out why you are bound up. Here is an example in my life. When I was a child, I grew up very poor. We were so poor that there was rarely any food to eat in our home. Food was always a struggle and so I was hungry most of the time. As I hit my teen years, I went to work very early and made an income so I would be able to buy food for myself and my family. The thoughts of hunger went away but buried in all that pain was a key that I would need to unlock my present battle. When I hit my late 40's I began to gain weight. And no matter what diet I tried it didn't work. I used to call the ten pounds I wanted to lose 10 mile mountain. Because it seemed like such a struggle to go up and then I would slide back down. So I had to figure it out. I had to understand why I couldn't get up 10 mile mountain. One day a friend of mine and I were visiting about life in general and she said that she had seen a documentary that made her think of me. She said it was about hungry children in Florida and how sad it had made her to watch it. And I realized at that moment that most children don't grow up hungry in America and that my experience had  been unusual. And I found the key to my ten mile mountain. Being hungry made me panic. So I couldn't be on a diet because I would panic when the hunger came. My giant wasn't 10 mile mountain, it was being hungry. And I had my key to victory.
So what giant do you need to overcome today? Where does your key to victory lie? Is it in some long forgotten memory? Ask the Father to show you which brook to go to to pick up your smooth stone to kill the giant in your life. He knows exactly where your victory stone is.

The Blind leading the way.

I was walking into my office complex a few days ago and noticed a small family group going in the door ahead of me. Among the group was a mother and her young son who she was leading by the hand. In the office complex are large white pillars that are located throughout the walkways. I was late for work and getting ready to run up the stairs when I saw and heard the little boy walk- bam right into the white pillar in front of him. But his mom did not stop pulling him along. "Ma'am, I said, he just hit his head". And when she turned around, I realized she was blind. She couldn't see him or even the white pillar. The other person wasn't a family member but rather a guide to help her get where she was going. As a good mother would she stopped and comforted the little boy. And as I was running up the stairs I was thinking, "Lord, no matter how awesome a relationship I have with someone, never let me follow someone who is spiritually blind." Amen. This is Pastor Susan Living the Everyday Prophetic Life and not following blindly or the blind.

Taking Your Mountain!

Recently I read a prophetic word that proclaimed that we must conquer the giants that occupy our future. It really made me pause and think about what those giants may be in my own life. And it made me think about conquering giants in the Bible. I began to draw parallels between the giants that occupy my future and the giants that were described in story of Caleb.. In the story of Caleb, in Joshua 14, the giants dwelt in the hill country or the mountains. Mountains in and of themselves can be intimidating because of the height and the breadth and the extra effort it takes just to go up them versus walking on a straight path. But the giants lived in walled and fortified cities. Now this is going to be even more difficult to take my mountain and gain my victory because it is occupied by giants in walled and fortified cities. But we can learn from the Biblical account of Caleb and his attitude toward this problem.
When Caleb was 85 years old, he asked Joshua to give him the mountain area that Moses had promised him. As a young man of 40 Caleb had been one of the twelve spies sent to spy out the land of Israel. He was one of two that brought back a good report. Moses made Caleb a promise that is recorded in Joshua 14:9 "So on that day Moses swore to me, 'The land on which your feet have walked will be your inheritance and that of your children forever, because you have followed the LORD my God wholeheartedly.' That means that the land that Caleb had spied out was the land of the giants. He was the one that saw their walled and fortified cities. And he was still the one who states in Numbers 13:30, "Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, "We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it."
To take your mountain you cannot be dissuaded by what you see. You cannot be dissuaded by what others say. You cannot be dissuaded by the landscape. You cannot be dissuaded by your age. You cannot be dissuaded by your past. You have to know who you are in God. You have to see with eyes of  faith. You have to hear word of faith.  You have to believe that you have a future in God and that when you get there He will help you remove the giants and their walled, fortified cities. And you have to leave the past behind. You are well able to take your mountain and have your victory. But you may have to kill some giants that come against your spirit along the way. Golden Honey

I dreamt that I was on a path that led up a mountain and up this path was a beautiful walled city. I dreamt that the air of this place was different than anything else that I had ever experienced. The air itself shimmered as if made of the finest particles of gold. The air had a tangible presence to it almost as if you were swimming in it rather than walking in it. It was thick in some ways like honey. There was such a peace and such a pure joy just because I was standing there in that presence. I dreamt that I was standing by a rose bush and the most beautiful fragrance was emanating from the roses. This dream happened around eleven years ago. But I still remember it like it was yesterday. I don't think of this dream as a prophetic dream. I think of it as a dream of place. In my spirit I was in a different place. I remember waking up and being surprised by how "blue" everything looked. Not the warm golden glow of the dream. Everything looked almost cold. And the air felt thin. And then I cried because my heart longed for the road with the path and the roses and the peace and the presence. When you have a dream of place, you realize that you have been somewhere different. There was more to this dream but I believe this is what I am allowed to share at this time. I believe that as we enter the end of the ages, more and more Christians will have dreams of place and they will see and experience things that they never have before now. Don't be surprised that part of the prophetic mantle can be the anointing to have this type of dream. It is part of the prophetic activation that allows you to minister in your gift. This is Pastor Susan Living the Everyday Prophetic life and dreaming of heaven.
P.S. You may want to read my blog from 05-09 called Gold and Honey. I love how the Lord ties it all together.

The Menorah and The Rainbow

Before the establishment of the Menorah in the tabernacle in the wilderness, God set a different kind of  light display in the sky. During the days of Noah, a great flood came upon the earth. All life on the planet was destroyed. After the flood, in the sky God set His covenant sign the rainbow. In Genesis 9: 12-13, And God said, "This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come. I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth." Now you may be wondering what does the rainbow have to do with the Menorah. Well remember in I John 1: 5 " This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all." So as the rainbow is a display of light and covenant and the Menorah is a display of light and God's Presence, what then is the correlation between the two? Very simply put it is this: the rainbow has seven colors, they are are Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet. The Menorah has seven lamps on one candlestick. If you read my blog on the Menorah and the Holy Spirit you will see how the gifts of the Spirit are linked to each lampstand.  Whenever you see a display of light in a prophetic service, you are seeing a display of one of the gifts of the spirit as seen through the rainbow and explained in the menorah. Corresponding to the Isaiah 11:1-2 description, it goes like this: Red is for the spirit of wisdom, Orange is for the spirit of counsel, Yellow is for the spirit of knowledge, Green is for the spirit of the LORD, Blue is for the spirit of the reverential fear of the LORD, Indigo is for spirit of might and Violet is for the spirit of understanding. When you are in a prophetic meeting, close your eyes and open them. What color do you see? This prophetic exercise will help you discern how the Lord is going to display His Presence in your midst! This is Pastor Susan Living the Everyday Prophetic Life and rejoicing when she sees a rainbow!

The Menorah and the Holy Spirit

The Bible says in Isaiah 11: 1-2 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD.
This Scripture passage is referring to Jesus our Messiah. However, it is also a description of the Hebrew menorah or candlestick of the tabernacle.  This menorah is described in detail in  Exodus 25: 31- 40. As you read the description you will see that Isaiah's reference to the spirit of the LORD is a reference to the middle stick of the menorah or the candlestick. The oil from the menorah was drawn up from the middle and so the root is the spirit of the LORD. Now the scripture in Isaiah points out the the spirits of wisdom and understanding are linked together as are the spirits of counsel and might and also the spirits of knowledge and the fear of the LORD. The Menorah has seven branches and the two outside branches are connected as well as the two middle branches and the two interior branches as you can see from this picture. So when the oil is drawn up to light one side of the candlestick it lights the other side of the duo as well.
Now in the New Testament these spirits are often referred to as the gifts of the Spirit as described by Paul in Romans 12. Paul starts on the left side of the menorah and describes the oil flow as the following: prophesy, ministry (or service) , teaching, and then on the right side exhortation, administration (leadership) and mercy. If you study the gifts of the Spirit you learn that prophecy and mercy pull from the same expression of the Holy Spirit the same oil flow if you will. The gifts of service and administration also pull from the same oil flow and also teaching and exhortation flow from the well. The middle candlestick is referred to as the Spirit of the LORD which Paul describes as giving which is a common Hebrew description of acts of righteousness- in Hebrew a " tsedeka "
We are effectively equating the Spirit of the LORD to the measure of righteousness within us. Now if you know me, you know that I am all about grace. So at this juncture let me say that the Lord fills us with grace without measure! I love how in the Old Testament there are layers and layers of prophetic pictures that lead us into a deeper understanding of our relationship with Father, Son and Holy Spirit. In my next blog I will address the connection of the menorah, the gifts of the Spirit and the covenant pictured in the rainbow. You won't want to miss the amazing connection to color and God's prism in the sky! This is Pastor Susan Living the Everyday Prophetic life and allowing the light of the Holy Spirit to shine as a candlestick!

Prophetic Dreams

Dream a Little Dream for Me!
Dreaming is more than just random thoughts that come to us in our sleep. Dreaming is a language that once you learn it is full of information and guidance from the heavenly realm. Dream images can contain the codes that you need to move in the prophetic in your everyday life. Do you remember when you were a kid you would get a spy kit and it always had in it a secret decoder ring? Well to understand your dreams you need a special decoder "ring", the Bible! Yes the Bible contains vivid imagery and gives us many clues as to the meaning of each image. So how do you create your own dreaming prophetic code? To start with you need a journal in which to write down each dream and each revelation of the image in the dream. After awhile you will begin to see a pattern develop. Just as you found your prophetic voice and your prophetic song, you will find your prophetic dream language. You should develop your understanding of numbers, places, objects, and animals. These will all help you to crack your prophetic dreaming code!
Here is a prophetic dream that I had recently. See if you can crack the code!
I dreamt that I was going to a luncheon at a beautiful tearoom. It was a victorian tearoom with roses and mahagony furniture. There were gorgeous serving pieces of silver and there were large, large cupcakes with blue and pink icing on top. Someone had made me a gift and I was searching the room for it but I couldn't find it. One of my dear friends was the hostess for the luncheon. She was dressed in a blue two piece suit and she had on a pearl necklace.
OK let's start: luncheon...to me means food and a set time for eating. So I had a set appointment for spiritual food. The tearoom has special meaning for me because I am a tea drinker and I love tearooms. So this was going to be a very special set time for spiritual nourishment. The room was beautiful which to me which means I enjoyed the atmosphere. So I know that at this set time for spiritual nourishment I will enjoy the atmosphere. (To me an atmosphere that I enjoy is always prophetic) So it is a set time for spiritual nourishment in the prophetic. Roses... Jesus is our Rose of Sharon, so I knew that Jesus would be there to greet me in my ministry. Mahogany furniture... wood is something that will pass away because it is temporal but mahogany is one of the hardest woods and so where I will be in the natural will be strong and sure. The serving pieces were made of silver... silver is refined by fire and is something that does not pass away. And there was a special gift that had been made from the mahogany that I couldn't find. Which means that the gifting is not in the open yet. It has not been revealed. The huge cupcakes with delicate blue and pink icing to me means a place of children and of childlike enjoyment! It is going to be a place where I can be a child in His Presence. Finally, my friend the hostess, usually people are not the people that you recognize but rather an angelic presence in the midst. This friend of mine is intimately involved in the Healing Rooms and so this place for me will be a place of healing, and the pearls represent wisdom and the blue two piece outfit represents the heavenlies. I have been praying for the Lord to set Marc and I in place and I had this wonderful dream of all that God has in mind for us.
Now you try it! This is Pastor Susan Living the Everyday Prophetic Life and Dreaming in the Night!

Letting it Go!

Pastor Marc teaches a wonderful lesson on Forgiveness is a gift you give yourself. Sometimes the fact that I need to forgive someone or something just surprises me. I am just going along minding my own business and BAM! unforgiveness just sneaks up and grabs your heart. I still want justice which includes my version of someone suffering the same type of loss that I have suffered at their hands. But guess what? That person has moved on and it is seriously time for me to let it go. So how do you do that Pastor Susan? You make a choice. Just like you choose to live in joy, you choose to live in forgiveness. Big deep breath. Breath in and now breath out and let it go. And now you are free from the burdon of trying to make someone regret an action that they have no thought of anymore. And you are free from the burdon of carrying out a just settlement of hurts and wrongdoings. And you are free yourself to move on in God. So when unforgiveness hits you BAM.... Just do this B-Breathe in really deep, A-Allow yourself the freedom to M-Move on and Let it go! This is Pastor BAM BAM Susan Living the Everyday Prophetic Life.

Legacy

As prophets we spend a lot of time speaking and contemplating the future. Because the prophetic is a forthtelling, a declaring of what is to come and what can be. But I have been thinking about the word "legacy".  How do I want those I love the most to remember me. How do I want my ministry to be remembered. What am I building that will remain behind for others to build on. God is the God of  generations. What you build will be foundational for your children and grandchildren.
Are you building on the sure foundation of Jesus Christ? Are you building without cracks and scars in the floor?  Think about it. This is Pastor Susan Living the Everyday Prophetic Life.

The Cosmos is Rending It's Garments

Recently I wrote the blog, the Earth is Rending her Garments. Translated into both French and Spanish it seemed to resonate with people and was read around the globe. The cataclysmic events continue and if we turn our eyes toward the sky, we see another example of the universe crying out about the times and the seasons. Let me emphatically state that no man knows the hour when our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ will return. But the Word is full of references to signposts that tell us we are moving toward the end of times.
Shortly after writing my blog about the tsunamis, earthquakes, hurricanes and tornadoes of unprecedented violence and frequency, the sun made an announcement of it's own. On June 7, 2011, the sun emitted a Coronal Mass Ejection that was unexpected and so large in the particles thrown into space it was called a gargatuan solar flare. If it had not been diverted from the earth's direction, it would have disabled power grids around the planet. According to the national geographic website an unusually large amount of material lofted up in this Mass Ejection, so much so that when it expanded and fell back to the sun it covered one half of the surface of the sun itself!  Further study reveals that after this event the sun is now falling into an unexpected period of solar "sleep" or lack of solar activity. The absence of solar flares has not seen since 1645 when the canals in Europe froze solid.
Beloved, as a watchman on the wall it my job to sound the alarm in whatever direction that signal comes from for us. Be it from the earth, the sun or the moon or the sky!
This is Pastor Susan Living the Everyday Prophetic Life and keeping watch on the walls.

Joy is a weapon of warfare!

I spent many years being sad. I was sad even when I was happy. Sadness had become a way of life for me. I just kept a part of my heart where I thought no one could see how sad I was inside. My circumstances would allow me to experience happiness but that is not the same as being joyful. No matter what I could not seem to overcome the deep sadness that had invaded my soul. Until one day I heard a preacher say that my sorrow had an expiration date. What? Says who? And then he quoted a Scripture that says in Psalms 30:5, "Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning."When the morning comes, the season for sorrow is over. For the first time I had hope. God has declared that there was an end point for the sorrow. That was a Scripture I could stand on.
When I realized that it could end, I began to study about sadness and it's counterpart: JOY. Because you can be happy which is related to your circumstances or you can have JOY which is related to your spirit.  The Scripture in  Proverbs 17:22, states that " a broken spirit drieth the bones." but Nehemiah 8:10, says, "the joy of the LORD is your strength." Now your bones are foundational to what helps you stand up. If you are going to be victorious in battle you have to be able to stand up and go forward. But my sorrow was keeping my spiritual bones dry and brittle. And so I had no strength. Recently I read somewhere that fatigue was the cause of one out of three doctor's appointments in this country. People are tired because they have sorrow/sadness or dare I say it depression. BUT the word says the JOY of the LORD is my strength. Depression the enemy of my spirit had squelched my joy. Which is NOT controlled by what is happening around you but by your spirit. The Word says that the fruit of the Spirit is love then JOY. It does not say that you will have JOY when your circumstances change for the better, it says you will have JOY because God's Holy Spirit will create the fruit in you because of HIS presence. So do you chose to stand in sorrow or do you chose to pick up the weapon of our warfare, the fruit of the Spirit and have JOY. Personally, I stepped out of darkness and into HIS marvelous light. And in the natural NOTHING has changed. But in the spirit I changed because I chose JOY. I am free from sorrow and bondage and JOY has become my weapon of choice to victory. How does that work? When I find myself slipping into sorrow, I remind myself that to defeat the plan of the enemy that is to wreak havoc and chaos in my life, I need my strength which comes from the Lord and is found in the fruit of His Presence known as joy. The weapons of our warfare are spiritual and JOY is one that you need to use in this fight.

Releasing Destiny

I think of myself as a spiritual midwife. It is my role to help you birth your destiny from the spiritual realm into the natural realm. God has a destiny plan for your life and when the appointed time for that destiny to come forth arrives it is good to have a spiritual midwife to help. What are the qualifications for such a position? Understanding the times and the seasons is a prerequisite.  Exodus talks about the midwives named Shiphrah and Puah in Exodus1:15. At that time Pharaoh was ordering all the Hebrew boy infants to be killed at birth. (Exodus 1:16)  These women against the orders of the most powerful man alive at the time, Pharaoh, saved the Hebrew babies from destruction because they "feared God" (Exodus 1:17). So a spiritual midwife fears God and because of her understanding of the times and seasons, she knows that sometimes there is a greater purpose in the laws and decrees of the land. She knows that there are powers in place that would seek to destroy the plans of God. But being in the right position at the right time, she can protect the destiny of a nation.  Moses was one who was saved by the Hebrew midwives. His destiny was to lead the people to the promised land and to perform miracles by God's power and to receive the Torah for the people.
A spiritual midwife is one who will get in between you and the enemies plan to destroy your destiny in it's first moments of fruition. She will stand there between you and everything unholy and tell you that God's timing is now and it's time to push for your deliverance. Because she understands timing you will often find a prophetic anointing as part of the midwife role.
Part of the process of spiritual birth is to create an atmosphere of faith and to help you stir up the gift of faith in you. To create an atmosphere of faith a spiritual midwife has to be one that walks in faith for herself. She must be one who time after time has seen the hand of God move and the supernatural power of God be manifest. She can't just say, I think your destiny is about to be born. She is one who says IT'S TIME TO PUSH! at the right moment.
Now a spiritual midwife doesn't get to stay in one place very long. Because there are always more spiritual births to attend. But when I meet someone new, I am always excited for them because I know that God has made our paths to cross for His divine purpose.  Something is about to change in their life and God is about to break out in a whole new way for them. It's a precious experience to be there when someone is on the threshold of the new day in their lives.

Jesus Loves Me

Jesus loves me this I know. This precious little childrens' song has taken me through some deep tribulations. Sickness, the death of loved ones, loss, and financial hardship have all been softened by singing quietly this sweet little song, "Jesus loves me." It is foundational to the gospel. It is the cornerstone of Christianity. It is the basis and core of my beliefs, "Jesus loves me." It is a statement and a  proclamation. I know that He loves me and I can be at peace in that knowledge. Unconditional love is a powerful force and the unconditional love of God is the most life changing experience you will ever have. When I realized that Jesus loved me, I cried for three days. I couldn't carry on a conversation for the weeping at the knowledge of the love of God. God showered me with His love and I understood for the first time my salvation experience. Just think about for one brief moment how much Jesus loves you. When the storms roll in try singing the song and you will be blessed. This is Pastor Susan Living the Everyday Prophetic Life and singing about Jesus love.

Purple Bumblebees

While cutting the lavender wands for my anointing oil the most unexpected thing happened. I was dive bombed by a purple bumblebee. The bumblebee was covered with the purple pollen from the flowers on the wands. It wanted the pollen and it was willing to let me know to move back. Now as a kid one of my summer pastimes was catching bees in a jar. We always had little white flowers all over the yard and I always had an empty jar and more courage than was smart for a scrawly little kid. I could catch five bumblebees in a baby food jar before one of them buzzed out. Then I would drop the jar and all the bees would swarm out and sent me running and screaming into the house. I think of bees as childhood friends. So I got very close to the bee today and watched it go from flower wand to flower wand. I was amazed that it was purple. And I thought about the anointing oil I was going to make. And I thought about the oil representing the Presence of God. And I thought about how cool it would be to just be like the bee covered in the anointing and glory of God with a visible tangible evidence that was plain to the naked eye. And then I thought about Moses coming down off of Mt. Sinai with such a tangible evidence of the glory of the Lord on his face that he had to cover it with a cloth.  That happened on Shavuot the day the Torah was given. The day we celebrate today and on Pentecost Sunday. And here is my prayer for today: Oh Lord make me like Moses with my face covered in your glory. Make my face to shine with Your Presence. Let me be like a simple purple bumblebee covered in the evidence of where I have been and let that be with you! This is Pastor Susan Living the Everyday Prophetic Life while picking flowers.

Trouver votre voix prophetique

Shavuot !! (Pentecost)

Today is Shavout!!  Shavout is the Jewish holiday celebrating the giving of the Torah. It is celebrated seven weeks after Passover. As Christians we celebrate Pentecost at approximately the same time. So Shavout is about revelation. The revelation of God's word. Pentecost is about revelation. The revelation of the Holy Spirit. When the Torah was given the mountain shook with thunder, lightning and the voice of God in the morning. When the Holy Spirit was given it was morning and there was a sound of a rushing mighty wind. The Jewish tradition states that the Hebrews were given little crowns of fire. The book of Acts states that the disciples had tongues of fire on their heads. The Jewish tradition says that the sound of God's voice was in all 70 languages that the Jewish people believe are the foundational languages of the world. On Pentecost the people heard each man speaking in his own language.
The Jewish people believe that there is an open heaven over the earth at midnight on Shavout, an open portal to the heavenlies. But with the giving of the Holy Spirit we have an open heaven over the earth all the time. We are always able to receive the revelation. As prophets the giving of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost is pivotal so that we can move in our prophetic giftings. But let us never forget that the prophetic gift is based on the Word the Torah that was given on Shavout. This is Pastor Susan Living the Everyday Prophetic Life.

Finding Your Prophetic Voice

When I think of the voice of the prophet, I think of Isaiah 40:3, "The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God." The prophet is the forerunner. The one who goes ahead and makes plain the way of the Lord. Who tells the world and the church that the LORD is coming and to make His way straight. In other words take out the crookedness, the twistedness in your lives. The forerunner knows that you are in a desert if you don't have the living God in your life. The prophet knows that you are dry and thirsty. The one who cries in the wilderness is the one who goes where the wild things still exist. The prophet often has a lonely calling going to the dry places and where the grass is not green and where the comforts of the establishment of the tabernacle of God have not yet been built (the wilderness). The prophet is the one whose voice you hear. That is why it is so important to find your prophetic voice.  Think of finding your prophetic voice as finding your pattern. For example: I speak often of destiny, and encountering your destiny moment in God. I speak of prophetic activation- how to get from the prophetic word that you have been given to the activation making it a reality in your life. You have to make your own sound i.e. voice, i.e. pattern that becomes recognizable to those around you. There is a theme a basic melody that will reverberate through all the prophetic giftings in your life. Listen to what you are speaking over others. Because you may only give a person one word, but you may give dozens of  different words to dozens of other people. So listen to what you are saying and in that you will begin to hear the pattern. You will begin to hear your melody. Then you will have begun the process of finding your prophetic voice. t

Anointing Oil

First of all let me say that I love anointing oils. I love the different kinds for different needs and different expressions of God. They have beautiful fragrances and often come in beautiful bottles. A few years ago I decided I wanted to make an oil of my own. I would like to make several oils over the next few years but of course in any journey you have to take the first step and make the first one. A couple of years ago I had planted a lavender plant in my garden. Now I live in Oklahoma and I have red dirt clay in my yard and it takes work to make anything grow. But I dug out that red clay and I put in 12 inches of good rich soil. And I planted a small lavender plant. Which grew and grew and grew and then I heard the words "Peace be still". Lavender is known for the calming effect of the fragrance. And I researched how to make oils and figured out the simplest way to make a unique fragrance. I used the oil we purchased for the Passover table and the lavender blooms from the garden. I ordered my bottles from New York and set to work. I made my first 12 small bottles and gave them all away. The first bottle went to the Kingfisher Healing Rooms. I was blessed to be the first person to receive prayer as I had been experiencing a migraine headache. The Lord healed me that night and said peace be still to the storm creating that terrible headache. I thought that would be the only Peace be still oil that I made because this past winter was so harsh and then drought and then floods and I never thought the lavender plant would make it this year but as you can see it tripled in  size! So I am making another batch of oil. I am using this year's Passover oil and I will harvest the lavender on Shavuot. (Easter to Pentecost). Whatever God calls you to do He is able to provide the resources, the knowledge, the fortitude and lasting ability to flourish under hardship conditions so that you can accomplish His purpose in the world. The Silent Shout

Sometimes we say that we can't hear God's voice. That he only speaks to other people and never to me. Sometimes we say that because we can't hear Him but He is shouting to us in the silence and the quiet. We imagine that God's voice must include thunderings and lightnings. But sometimes the voice is silent and still like a whisper. Those are the times when we learn to trust that every moment of every day the Lord is speaking to us. Look around you at the Lord's creation and you will hear Him speaking to you. Look up at the night sky filled with the galaxies and you will hear Him speaking to you. Look into the depths of the sea and you will hear Him speaking to you. Look inside your heart and you will hear Him speaking to you. And hearing the Lord's voice is a critical step in learning to hear in the prophetic. This is Pastor Susan Living the Everyday Prophetic Life.

Your Revelation - Understanding the Prophetic

I was reading in Revelation 11:1 "And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein." , and I was struck by the fact that the angel gave John a task to do. I thought now why would the angel who probably knows all about the measure of the temple give John this work to do. Frankly I thought that would be a lot of work since the temple was big and the reed was small. It made me tired just to think about it. Why Lord? Why couldn't the angel just tell him the measurements? And I heard the Lord say to me that we have to participate in our revelation. Oh! Our revelation becomes clearer as we participate in the process. And I remembered all the late nights of "participating in my revelation". And it made sense to me. How much I had learned in the process versus just being given the revelation. When you participate in it then it because your own. It stays with you and becomes part of your being. Question: What effort have you put forth to receive a prophetic revelation? This is Pastor Susan Living the Everyday Prophetic Life.

Appointment with Destiny

     Appointment with Destiny
Activating Your Prophetic Destiny
Part two
When God sets an appointment time for you to begin your destiny purpose in life, He will move rulers, kings, nations, and people groups for that appointment to be fulfilled. But only you can keep that appointed time by obedience in your heart. When you have received a prophetic word then in essence you have an appointment in God's "book" for that set time frame. I usually think of these appointments as scrolls in heaven's library. These appointments are written down and have a set time and purpose and place for fulfillment
In Luke chapter 2 the whole world had an appointment with destiny. The time had come for the Messiah to be born. And so all the details for prophetic fulfillment had to come into place. It was prophesied in Micah 5:2 "But thou Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from old, from everlasting." And so the Scriptures had prophesied that the Messiah was to be born in Bethlehem and therefore a plan had to be made to move the pregnant Mary to the town of Messiah's birth. The stage was set when a world wide decree went out from Rome that the whole world would be taxed. And they were to be taxed in their hometown. So a non-believer, a king, moved the nations into place so that the one carrying the Christ would be perfectly postioned to fulfill the appointment with destiny.      .
Another example of an appointment with destiny is the apostle Paul in the Bible. Acts 21:10-11 "And as we tarried there many days, there came down from Judea a certain prophet, named Agabus. And when he was come unto us, he took Paul's girdle, and bound his own hands and feet, and said, Thus saith the Holy Ghost. So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man that owneth this girdle, and shall deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles." This was the kind of destiny appointment we may not want to receive but it is an excellent example of the kind of prophetic word that tells of places, actions and purpose. Acts 23 tells of Paul appearing in Jerusalem in front of the Sanhedren. A riot breaks out and Paul is rescued by Roman centurians from the Jews but delivered to the castle. From there he begins his remarkable journey to Rome to keep his real assignment as found in  Acts 23:11, " And the night following the Lord stood by him, and said, Be of good cheer, Paul: for as thou hast testified of me in Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at Rome." I love this particular example because one instruction builds on the next. They are like sign posts that tell you that you are on the correct road. But you generally can't get to the second one before you get to the first one. Many times people will ask for a prophetic word. I ususally want to ask them well what did you do with the last one. Were you obedient to what God asked you to do? Obedience to the word of God is critical in what God is going to do next in your ministry. Take that one step of obedient faith, so the path will open up before you and you will see what the next one is. You see Paul had to go to Jerusalem even though he knew he was going to be bound. He could have been like Jonah and headed in the opposite direction. But he chose obedience. And he then heard the next step.
Well, Pastor Susan, it's been prophesied that I have a book within me. Great! Have you written anything down? Maybe a writing such as a blog, a journal or a facebook note might be a good place to begin obedience.
It's been prophesied that I would pastor a large church. Great! Have you started a Bible study in your house? Have you trained and been a servant to someone who already has a large church? Have you named your ministry? Have you investigated if you want to have a 501 (c) 3?
You see God has given you direction and free will. He told you what is available. Now in obedience begin the process and watch the miracles accompany your set appointment time.

Dancing in the Prophetic

Dancing in the prophetic is a powerful announcement in the Spirit of the plan of God in a situation. When we prophetically dance the Holy Spirit directs our steps and movements. The Bible is replete with examples of kings and prophetesses dancing before the Lord. Beloved, when something is in the Word it is not just because it is part of the story. There were myriads of details of history that happened that were not recorded in the Bible. So it means that we must closely examine the actions that were recorded. King David danced before the Lord according to II Samuel 6:14 "And David danced before the LORD with all his might;" and  II Samuel 6:16 reports that he was "leaping and dancing". The ark of God was coming up to Jerusalem and the joy and the victory and the praise that the glory of God is coming to a city caused the King himself to dance and leap on the journey. Those with a right heart could hear the message- The Presence is coming. Those with no open ears or eyes would look separated from the event as it says in II Samuel 6: 16  'Michal Saul's daughter looked through a window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before the LORD; and she despised him in her heart." Despised is a strong word. Notice how she was not part of the event, she was separate. This will happen when you prophetically dance. Some will have a strong aversion to it. Because they are having an aversion to the message of the prophet. And because they refuse the message, they despise the prophet.
Another powerful example is Miriam the prophetess, who according to Exodus 15:20 "And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances." Miriam's prophetic song came forth ( you may want to read my previous blog on your prophetic song) and she told about the victory over Pharoah and his armies.
When you dance prophetically a physical message is being sent into the atmosphere and spiritual events are happening. When I prophesy by dance I am usually doing spiritual warfare. And I usually dance with my war sticks that I create prophetically to symbolize the battle I am fighting. Once I created a war stick covered with gold fur like fabric symbolizing the tribe of Judah and worship. I attached bells to it symbolizing I was going into the Holy of Holies and I attached two little pins that represented the destiny of my grandchildren and then I went to war in the spirit. I never spoke a word but I put on some spiritual music and I danced with my war stick and basically told everything that wasn't aligned with the plans and purposes of God to back up.
A prophetic dance has many expressions because it is what God wants to do in the Spirit being symbolically portrayed in the natural. Worship, glory, kingship, welcoming His Presence, healing, it is a myriad of facets like a diamond. Which way will you shine the Light of His glory in the dance? This is Pastor Susan Living the Everyday Prophetic Life. PS I always enjoy reading your comments on these blogs!
